After leaving my bank from cashing a check, I went to eat at this establishment. My bill was $16.05. I gave the cashier a hundred dollar bill and a nickel. The cashier proceeded to hold the bill up to the light to check for the strip inside the bill. Apparently, when I placed the bill in my wallet, I folded it on the strip. Unfortunately she saw the bill had been folded on the strip and determined that the bill was counterfeit. Fortunately, a nice gentleman behind me paid for my meal. After leaving this restaurant, I went directly back to my bank and had them authenticate the bill. It was indeed NOT counterfeit. In order to avoid this situation from happening again, this establishment should purchase a currency pen. This situation was very embarrassing to me and should not have even happened. I will not be going back.

This used to be a buffet serve yourself. Now they serve you and not as much food as before and now very over priced. There are many restaurants that charge 13.00 for a entire full buffet. On top of that she was very rude to me. I won’t go back when I can go to green tomato buffet!

Ok let’s talk turkey (because it’s Thanksgiving). I have lived in the area for decades and have heard of Shirley’s for decades, but haven’t been here in a minute. Stop what you are doing and get down here and eat food the way your grandmama’s grandmama intended it to taste like. This isn’t the Ritz, so leave your pretentiousness at the door. What it is though, is good down home for served by people who care about the product they put out. Forget the big Golden corporate buffet down the street and come in here. The people are some of the friendliest folks you’ll meet. It’s family run, and you’ll feel like family eating here. So get in here and eat as much as you’d like… And you will like and like and like!
