New favorite breakfast place in the area. The staff was friendly. The facility was clean. The food was yummy with some unique options on the menu I look forward to on future visits. I chose one of my standard meal choices for first visit; biscuits & gravy. The gravy was proper thick with ample chunks of sausage. The portion was decent. And, the price was reasonable. Looking forward to my next visit!

My family and I (wife and 3 kids) tried out Shirley’s Kitchen for breakfast. We were seated at our table quickly but after some time of not being waited on my wife asked the hostess if someone could come take our order. Within a minute a waitress was at our table taking our order (I think due to the morning rush the wait staff were trying to get their bearings). The food took awhile (15-20 minutes) before it came to the table but when it did it was fantastic. I got the Texas brisket omelette with home fries and cinnamon raisin toast…it was out of this world good. The kids got pancakes, bacon, eggs, and a side of fruit (huge portion) so no complaints there, they loved it. My wife got the biscuits and gravy which she said was very good. Overall the food was great, the service is a work in progress. I never had to ask for a refill on my coffee so that was a highlight. Give this restaurant some time to get into their groove and it will be a staple in the local community. We will be back, at that point once the kinks are worked out I’ll change my review from a 4 to a 5 star review.

Drove to Pembroke from Goffstown to try this place based on the reviews, walked in and waited for 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there, there was 3-4 tables empty, 1 person finally asked how many, and said “it’ll just be a couple minutes” another 5 minutes later someone else asked how many and took my name and said that the wait is 5-10 minutes and asked if we’re going to wait around, “Yes, we’re planning on having breakfast”, 15 minutes later after 4 parties left and the tables cleaned and reset with silverware, there was still no sign of being seated we left. There was at least 6 people walking around the restaurant looking kind of lost, no sense of organization at all. Won’t bother coming back.
