This is the best Japanese food I’ve had outside of Japan! Every dish was delicious The highlight was the Incredible sashimi with a magical seaweed soy sauce! The service was fantastic and it has a relaxed atmosphere. I can’t recommend Shirubē highly enough!

Best new restaurant in Santa Monica! Tempted to gate keep but it was too good not to share. Top tier service and the food was absolutely outstanding, comparable to Nobu. So many restaurants to choose from in the area but Shirube definitely stands out from the crowd.

This place went above and beyond. The salmon dish- to die for. I’ve never had that experience from food in my life. It’s a two day marinated salmon in a rice coge (fermented rice). The experience is unlike anything. The appetizers were so well balanced between the vinegar, the freshness, and acidity. And the sashimi was fantastic. Everything is so well thought out, the atmosphere really allows you to focus on the food, the juxtaposition of colors and flavors.

Wonderful and authentic dining experience. Incredible starters to share with the whole table, I highly recommend the edamame. The sashimi melted in the mouth and was beautifully presented. The salmon was so tender and unlike anything I’ve tried before. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food. They also have many great gluten free options.

Food is absolutly amazing !!! Service even better. The guys behind the bar went above and beyond to accommodate me. Had a 4 course meal tried multiple recommended options from the chef and they were all out of this world. Highly recommend this spot to anybody looking to catch a good vibe and fire food !!!!

Every dish is incredible with so many good looking dishes to try. Corn ribs are top tier super sweet corn and fried with a slight crust, so tasty. Can seem a bit pricey and all the dishes can be kind of small except maybe the mentaiko pasta, but makes up with delicious stuff
