I almost didn’t try this place because of the negative reviews. They were all wrong! The entire staff was so friendly! Customer service was excellent! Smiling and talking just what you want when you’re taking your family out to eat. We sat grill side and the chef was awesome as well! Spoke to everyone, had us all laughing and all of our food was absolutely delicious! It was our first time eating at Shogun but it definitely won’t be our last! Thank you for a wonderful dinning experience for our family!

All of our dishes were dirty when brought out. The food was salty and dry. Little flavor. And a 17% gratuity was added to our family of 6 where our 2 year old didn’t even eat. Service wasn’t horrible but would never go back again.

Great service and great food! Had chicken and shrimp. The chicken was so moist I didn’t need the white sauce and I love the white sauce. Sweet tea was on point as well. Prices are low too. Small build but loved it.

Automatic 17% tip added to check no matter what your party size. Food was not very fresh–especially for the price— but tasted OK. Did not have the same selection of sauces that most Japanese steak houses like this have. Place was visually run down.I felt like this was a mistake before going into the restaurant, but the family was starving and we were committed.

The people were nice but it wasn’t worth the price. The food wasn’t good. The sweet tea had a sour aftertaste. The onion soup had a terrible taste. The entree was ok after I drowned it with soy sauce and shrimp sauce. The show wasn’t good. The people were very nice. Not a place I would revisit.

The place was nasty, the waitress only interested in getting us to leave, and the chef ok. Most Japanese places will add a tip automatically if you have a party of a certain size, this place adds a 17% gratuity for parties of 1 or more. That’s actually written in the menu AND they charge sales tax on a mandatory tip.

The food is your typical Japanesse fast food. Only one server when we came, so everything took a long time, she was nice, but couldn’t manage everything by herself. If you have a child under 6 and shares your plate, they charge an extra $5 to your plate. Our cooker was not friendly. Make sure to ask for details on your check, because the 17% tips are already included in it, and they won’t tell you. Very overpriced for what you get. Never going back .

Walking in, we were greeted warmly. Tina (our server) knew the menu well and informed us of ALL possible substitutions, without issue. She spoke with such elegance, incredibly professional.
