Nashville Airport area, TN. I’d come back just for Charles, our server. Nicest guy you’d ever meet, hustling to keep everything going, getting after the cook to get my egg white omelet out chop chop (do not order an egg white veggie omelet here, they’re too busy and there was too much oil in my veggies). I said, “I bet people come here just for you!” and he said, “Yeah, I expect that’s true. I been here 13 years.” He knew and warmly greeted a ton of customers. Well, he greeted everyone warmly. The rest of the staff were nice, too.

Breakfast buffet. Eggs weren’t completely cooked, sausage links were cold, chicken tenders was overcooked. The strawberry dessert was on point. Didn’t know this was a Cashless restaurant. They will take cash if it’s all you have but they prefer you using a card. Not worth $18.22 with a drink.

Mediocre. We used to frequent Shoney’s often when inwas growing up. Mostly the one in Hendersonville and the one in Cookeville. There was also one in Hinesville, GA where I swallowed the breakfast bar occasionally when I was stationed there, good memories!

So went here for a late lunch, as I just got there went with a steak as everything wasn’t that interesting and the door host did advise that they are serving brunch till 1400 as it was Sunday I wasn’t really interested in that went for the menu service was sloppy and slow salad dressing didn’t have what I prefer so had to make do with what they had.

One of the few places left in Nashville to get a solid buffet. Always loved Shoney’s and now they have a bar!

This was a nice change in the way to do breakfast, it’s was a buffet style. There’s a plethora of options for many different options and by it being my first time I didn’t know what to expect so it was a pleasant surprise. From biscuits and gravy, pan seared potatoes, chicken pieces, bacon and sausage to grits eggs and you name it. There also was some desserts to choose from and not to mention a bar, not to bad.

Hadn’t been to Shoney’s in years. Found one while traveling. Sad to say the whole experience pretty much sucked. Quality of food, service, and atmosphere killed my memory of better Shoney’s elsewhere. Putting lots of pepper on food does not cover the lack of flavor. Server obviously had better things to do. Not one tea refill. Even if I did live here I wouldn’t come back.

I would have given five stars. When we walked in, five more came in behind us. There were not many guests in the restaurants. We were told that someone would be with us shortly. The employees continued cleaning while I noticed a manager standing around. I proceeded to get two menus and go sit at a table. That is when the manager came to us. Neither of the managers came to ask us how everything was. A female manager with a visible tattoo and a light peach colored shirt walked right by and never acknowledged us. The male manager wearing a white shirt stated he had only been there only four months just stood around the salad bar next to where the food came out. Well trained or experienced managers need to move around and check on their guests. The food was delicious, the server was nice, Luckily, there was cabbage soup available, except there was no beef.

Not as big a variety as our in Knoxville, but was very fresh. Salad was good, cold, not wilted. My son LOVED the cinnamon rolls. Convenient from the 40/near the airport. Seated as soon as we entered, no wait. Was not our first time at this location, won’t be our last.
