On our way to Jefferson island. Stopped to eat a wholesome meal Good fresh salad and fried fish but there is lots more. Wish we still had Shoney’s in Houma !!!!

It was shoney’s as i remembered. We got there about an hour after they opened. Some of the food was not very hot, but as we ate, they brought out more hot and fresh food. It was great! Staff was very friendly. Our waitress was attentive and kept our drinks full. The cashier was nice and polite also. Probably 10 years since I ate at a shoney’s, but i will eat here again when I’m in the area.

To be clear, my childhood memories of Shoney’s will cloud this review. I have fond memories of the restaurant chain as a child. It was always a treat to come. Having eaten at this location recently, I now realize the food is not the greatest. The interior of the restaurant was clean, service was good and there was plenty of parking in front. I recommend this to everyone. I look forward to coming back if I am in the area again.

Food was terrible from the buffet . The cookie with ice cream we ordered was amazing. Drink tasted like chlorinated water for some reason. I’m not sure if that is the way it is here or what. The staff are truly as friendly as can be. Really enjoyed them. But food was so gross I dident even eat after one bite . Hush puppies hard bread sticks hard . I think everything had just been out way to long .

Manager was rude to us from the moment we walked in and went to look at the hot bar.. told us the food wouldn’t be out til 3 so we decided to order appetizers and wait for the bar to be set up. Upon hearing this she walked up to our table and told us if we were the ones waiting on the bar she didn’t have to have it out til 4 so there was no point in us waiting. She was rude and unprofessional so we decided to pay 40 dollars for our appetizers and drinks that we didn’t even eat and leave. Will never return to this place
