Great meal! The octopus appetizer and crab and artichoke dips were devine. My husband loved his surf and turf, and my crab cakes were meaty and perfectly done.

Pricey. Their spin on shrimp and grits was absolutely amazing. I wanted more. The shrimp? Yum. The oysters? Yum.

Loved it! I would go again. It’s one of the few places on Rehoboth that accepts reservations during peak season, which was awesome. Food was perfect. The owner stopped by our table to say hi and check on on things which is always a plus in my book. My surf and turf was *chef’s kiss*. The scallops, short ribs, and risotto were just perfection. I had a white cranberry cosmo and it was pretty strong. My husband said his pork chop cut like butter and he loved it! For dessert – Get. The. Carrot. Cake. One of the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely go again next time I’m in town.

This place is definitely not like the google ratings say. It’s. A 3 on scale of 5 at best. First the restaurant has filthy carpet in the inside. Who keeps carpet in an eating establishment. Second the quality of the food vs the price point is completely out of line. So many great places you can go as this price point. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Service is fine but atmosphere food and price point are very lacking.

This was our second time here. The food is really special. Excellent cocktails. Friendly service. It is not inexpensive but is worth the cost.

What a wonderful treasure we discovered! My sister and I spent the afternoon walking the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach and were hoping to find a nice seafood meal to end our day. It was like a gift to our palates that we decided to try the Shorebreak Lodge after reading some reviews. Everything on the menu sounded yummy, but we both opted for the fall tasting menu since it would allow us to try more of the offerings that intrigued us. I also added the ceviche special because I don’t get to have it very often; it was wonderful and served with crisp and tasty tortilla chips for dipping. The tasting menu started with a lovely assortment of cheeses accompanied by honey, raspberry jam, marcona almonds, thinly sliced red onions and balsamic drizzle served with a cracker assortment and it was not just delicious but fun to mix up the flavors as we sampled from the artfully prepared board. Next came a corn, crab and coconut bisque that was bursting with flavor. I wanted to lick the bowl. In fact, I think we said that after every course. After the soup came a huge, perfectly browned scallop accompanied by greens, butternut squash and perfectly cooked chunks of bacon with a beet purée. The final food plate was short ribs that were so sweet and tender and melted in your mouth that was served over a bed of creamy risotto with pesto. The finale was a thin slice of fudgy and delicious chocolate layer cake that was the perfect size to finish on a sweet note without overdoing the quantity of food. We’re already trying to plan a return visit for more of their fabulous menu items. I’m a water drinker, but my sister said her sangria was really good. Our lovely server Laura was a pleasant addition to the overall experience as was the smooth jazz playing in the background and the decor that added to the ambiance.

This place has the most delicious dishes, but I was told I would need to make reservations three days ahead. Has anyone else ever heard of this? We were seated in a rear dining room, and as time passed, with all the people who walked up to this restaurant, no one else was seated back there out of sight. I went to the men’s room and noticed plenty of empty tables. They weren’t closed off for social distancing, either! I was assured this was not an intentional act but I felt as if we were being hidden from the public view because we were different. Otherwise a candidate for that FIFTH STAR! Our waiter (I’m sorry I misplaced your name, Brother.) was especially gracious and tried to make sure that we were comfortable and that we had everything we wanted. He did a Great job! He May be the Top reason for me to consider a return visit. The drinks were really good, and worth the price. Top quality! As I said the food was really awesome, and the place is Beautiful! If you know what time you’ll be hungry three days from now!

Service was great. Food was good. Ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees. My husband really enjoyed his lamb osso buco. I loved the house made potato truffle soup. The Brie and naan were ok. The hummus was good. I ordered the roasted beat and goat cheese salad and I’m pretty sure it had blue cheese on it instead. Unfortunately I strongly dislike blue cheese. Other than that we had a pretty good experience!

We were here and hesitant to go out to too many places because of Covid. We decided to go here because of the plethora of outdoor seating options. We were immediately met with a friendly gentleman who helped us to our table and also turned out to be our waiter.

Tried this restaurant for the first time and will definitely be back. You know you’ve found a new favorite place when you can’t decide which unique menu item to order. I ended up with the charred octopus and scallops appetizer portions. We also ordered the brussel sprout app and it was a 10. The char on the octopus was unlike any other way I’ve had it prepared and everyone at the table wanted a bite. The scallops were expertly cooked but the rest of the dish was the star – butternut squash, puréed beets and beet greens had me wishing I could mop up the plate. Our server guided us through the choices from apps to dessert.
