This place is a hidden gem and the food is outstanding. But what makes the experience better is the awesome staff. Ms. Annie and Lynne were fantastic and ensured everything was perfect. I ordered the Ms. Annie and had the best cinnamon roll French toast I have ever had. Highly recommend! Thank you!

I was first time here, and I don’t want to tell my secrets, but this place is outstanding! Incredibly generous portion of this beautiful food great service. I think we have found a new restaurant. My husband got the strawberry cream cheese crapes, and some grits with butter and brown sugar and I got the nova platter so incredibly generous. Please don’t change a thing! we will be back.

We have been living on old memories the last 5 or 6 times we had breakfast at short stacks. We have been really disappointed, but had figured it was unusual since it had been so good for so long. This last time just confirmed it’s not the same place anymore. The steak with my steak and eggs looked like it was cooked on a dirty grill. The steak was way overcooked and looked and smelled like charcoal. I sent back the steak and it came back raw. I didn’t dare try a third time. The eggs were greasy with pieces of charcoal in it. The entire plate had the charred bits everywhere (not the tasty kind). The service was fine, but that can’t change the terrible food. I thought was the burnt. Also, when they brought the new (raw) steak, it had the same eggs and home fries from the first time + a steak in a pool of blood. Gross . I didn’t say anything to the rest of my party during the meal because I didn’t want to spoil their meals. As it turns out, everyone had a similarly bad experience, though not to my degree. The old short stacks is gone.

I enjoyed breakfast here. The skinny Greek omelet is delicious. And the pancakes are amazing, fluffy but thick. I took off a star because the service wasn’t that great. Our waitress disappeared for a while, enough time to finish our meals, and we had to ask another server for a cup of coffee.

I tried this place for the first time a couple days ago. Great breakfast place in Wellington! Prices are not bad and the serving size is good too. The servers were all really friendly. It has a very local feel to it. The place is big but can get busy around peak hours so there may be wait around that time. I believe they do take reservations for large parties. Anyways, I ordered the corn beef hash which is better than a couple places I tried in this area. It’s not salty and is slightly crunchy. My scrambled eggs were good too! The only thing I would say is the hash browns are not the shredded kind like in some breakfast places but it’s alright. One of my friends ordered the steak and eggs dish which I tried and was also good. It was not burnt or overcooked. Overall this is a good place to at least check out if you’re in the wellington area and looking for a breakfast spot! %+++ would recommend!

Found this little place by accident and love it. So many things to choose from on the menu, it was hard to decide. I went with the French toast and omg, the plate was so full. It was totally delish and I couldn’t finish it cuz there was so much. I will definitely come back to try something else on the menu for sure. The staff were very friendly. Great little place for breakfast…will try the lunch options next time.

Service was friendly, but not really attentive. I ordered scrambled eggs, whole wheat toast, turkey sausage, and fruit cup. Only the fruit was edible. The very thin sausage was hard and the burned side was face down so maybe I wouldn’t notice? The eggs were so overcooked and dry it was like chewing rubber. Bread (not toast) was smeared with what looked & tasted like mayo. $17 for a handful of fruit.
