Went to Shucker’s on a Saturday night. Food was wonderful, especially the clam chowder. We found the ambiance to be pretty cool as well. We got the queen crab legs and the perch for dinner and ate on the patio. I would have given the restaurant a perfect score if it weren’t for the service. The dark haired woman that served us treated us as an inconvenience and was extremely lacking in attentiveness. I will definitely try the wonderful food again, but if we are assigned to the same server we will not stay.

Went there last week, I had prime rib and my wife had perch. Excellent as always, but she preferred the baked potato to the red skin. We had for dessert the Brownie Oreo ice cream, enough for 2 and was wonderful. We hope the new ownership dosent change the food or staff

Food is always great but I won’t ever eat in the bar again. We had a Jody wait on the family and she was horrible. There used to be a Krista that worked there and she was the best ever. She would remember what you drank and ask if that is what you would like again, super fast, food always perfect. Now you get a waitress who doesn’t want to be bothered. We left a nice tip but my husband only wanted to leave her a penny. That’s how bad she was. Eat in the dining room and you won’t be disappointed.

Visited last week …Me and my wife haven’t been here in years so we stopped by after dropping off the grandkids..I ordered creamy pasta garlic Shrimp… Excellent! The dish was done to perfection. I almost closed my eyes with pure pleasure on every bite! My better half had the Fried Catfish….she said it was delicious…Oh! And our waitress was great ! She recommended the dish I ordered! Today it’s Father’s Day and where do you think I’ll be going for dinner? You guessed it!

I am from Millbury, Ohio and while in Swanton my fiance and i decided to stop for lunch. I am a seafood lover and he is not so it was great to see Shucker’s in sight. It has a beautiful inside decore and the ambiance is relaxing. I had the raw oysters on the half shell and they were to die for!!! So delicious, i also had the fried cod, shrimp and scallops, which were cooked beautifully! I have never had such amazing seafood. My fiance ordered a lunch chicken sandwich, pilled high with grilled chicken, ham, bacon,cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and spicy sauce on a seasoned cibatta bread servered with homeade chips and a pickle! The waitress was pleasant, knowledgable and warm. The food was moderatley priced and for such quality and flavor, sells for much higher in other restaurants with not even half the flavor or great and expierience. I recommend this place to anyone who hasn’t been….i’m already planning my second trip!

Hoping this place gets better. I have ate here 4 times. Every time the food was not good at all. Either was not cook to medium or chicken chunks were cold. Maybe with new ownership things will improve.
