Wow, wow, and wow again! So glad that my friend and I stumbled upon Siam Thai after the two restaurants we were going to check out closed at 8pm. The staff welcomed us in immediately and made us feel at home. We chatted a little bit before deciding on our meals. I got the Earth, Wind, and Fire with medium heat after the waiter told me that this was one of their most popular dishes. I see why it is! There are chunks of veggies, chicken, and meat in a delicious light brown sauce. The veggies included bell peppers, green beans, bamboo shoots, and corn. Everything was so good and fresh; and it came out very quickly despite the restaurant being busy. We were checked on a couple of times and they kept our waters full. Also, we were able to hang our a few minutes after they closed, which was nice as I was catching up with a friend I hadn’t seen in 7 years.

It’s been forever since I’ve been here, and they updated the whole place since the last time I went! I went for lunch and just got a soup, but it was SO GOOD and service was phenomenal.

Was taking a stroll around Decatur at the Decatur Arts Fest and stopped inside this lovely Thai restaurant for a bite to eat. The server was very gracious and my food arrived hot and fresh. I also ordered a mojito. It did not disappoint.

Fairly affordable by Thai standards, but service was pretty slow. “Signature dishes” were received better than other menu items at our table. Chili Fish was very tasty. Pad Thai and Peanut chicken were fine. All in all, this is a pretty good spot, but I probably won’t come back since I prefer other Thai restaurants.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere here, and the fast and friendly service makes the space even more enjoyable. The fresh basil rolls and the cheese rolls are MUST HAVES. I would go back and eat here for those appetizers alone. The basil rolls were fresh and the rice paper itself had the chewiest, nicest texture. The cheese rolls were creamy and crisply fried to perfection; crunchy throughout without being burnt. Massaman curry is one of my favorite things to get from Thai restaurants and this is probably the best one I have ever had. Nutty, sweet, and rich in flavor. Loved the avocados as a topping; I actually don’t think I’ve ever ordered this curry with avocados added, but it blends with the other flavors so well. Generous portion size, and the broth tasted even better the next day! Also worth a try: their red sangria! Light, fresh, and fruity.

our server was wonderful, and so was the other server on the floor that wasn’t even working our table! i ordered the Lychee Martini and the Kai Tod to start, and my partner ordered an Iced Thai Tea. the Thai Tea is very pricey for no refills, but it was good nonetheless. had there been free refills, this most definitely would be a 5 star review. the Lychee Martini was very satisfying and the Wings were beautifully crunchy and juicy. also extremely hot! for the entrees we went with the Green Curry and Volcano Chicken. the Curry was very balanced and overall one of the best thai style curries i have had in quite a while. my Volcano Chicken was not very Volcano-y but it was flavorful. to close we had the Rum Thai Tea and it was a sweet way to close out our meal!

Visited the restaurant right when it opened. There was short line but it caught our attention as people were lined up to be seated. Promising. The place was very clean and ambiance was calming after our busy day of running errands. Our server greeted us quickly and cheerfully. Waters arrived pretty immediately followed by our drinks. So far so good. We ordered the sampler appetizer platter and pad Thai. Here’s where it starts to go downhill. We smelled a smell…not a scent or an aroma…getting stronger as our food was being brought to the table. We are staying positive. The first thing I asked when the plates were placed on the table was: Is the pad Thai overcooked? He chuckled as if it were true but kept it moving and prepared to take a bite. Meanwhile, I’m assessing the appetizers to see which one I am going to choose first and see that most of the items were left in the fryer longer than needed. They are deep brown. I ate the few pieces that were decent and went to dig into the pad Thai, not realizing that him wiping his mouth with a napkin was him actually spitting out a shrimp. Needless to say, I had the same reaction. The smell from earlier was an immense amount of fish oil in the pad Thai. The mushy looking noodles were, in fact, mushy but mushier than initially thought. The chicken was terribly bland and we wished we went to our usual spot. *sigh*
