I took my family to Side Street Cafe in Bar Harbor. We had an awesome time there. This place is great for kids. They gave my girls Play-Doh to play with while we waited for our food. It kept them entertained while we enjoyed the atmosphere.

We loved blueberry infused lemonade. My shrimp taco was flavorful, shrimp was juicy and delicious. My husband loved his haddock sandwich. As so many people recommended blueberry pie, we ordered one with ice cream. That was our downhill for this meal, it was just too sweet for us.

Wanted so badly to love you, Side Street. Sadly the food was average and the service was below average. With all the options available in Bar Harbor, sorry to say, the official recommendation here is: SKIP it. Probably more like a 4.2.

WOW! This is the #1 BEST LOBSTER ROLL in Bar Harbor …so we HAD to try it! It did not disappoint!!!! It was SOOOOO GOOD!!! Anton, our server was amazing! Super fast service and we got right in! The atmosphere was inviting and the cocktails and mock tails were so delicious!!!!

I tried Side Street on the suggestion of the crew working at Acadia GEMS. Best choice for a quick dinner after a day of hiking! I enjoyed it so much that I went back the next day with a friend for dinner and then the retreat group that we met up with selected Side Street as our lunch stop on Sunday. So yes, I ate at Side Street 3 times in 4 days! No regrets!!

Side street cafe is a place to eat at if you want to have swift and good service. When we were seated outside on the lovely patio, our server came to our table pretty quickly and greeted us with a positive attitude. The food came out all in under 10 minutes both the appetizer and entrees and was delicious too!!! My only complaint is that the lobster mac and cheese that I ordered was $35 which I understand is market price but that is a lot for a dish where they barely give you lobster If you’re going to charge that much for a meal then at least give me more than 4oz of lobster

Extremely cute and allergy friendly restaurant! If you love margaritas, they have amazing ones including blueberry! My personal favorite thing here was the blueberry mint lemonade; to die for. They have great lobster rolls (with gluten free and dairy free options) and absolutely delicious tacos. Super friendly staff and loved the outdoor space.

Awesome happy hour and dog-friendly restaurant! We come here every time we visit Bar Harbor and LOVE their lobster dishes. The margaritas are famous for a reason and the staff is very personable. It’s the Cheers bar of Bar Harbor.
