The atmosphere was great, if you’re only looking to drink the lady at the bar was awesome !! the gentleman that brought their food was great!! But the food was NOT GREAT, no flavor the ceviche sooo much big chunks of tomato just no flavor on the tacos or ceviche. ( your cooks need to do better )

This place is a personal favorite spot for work lunches or happy hours with friends after a long work day or week. The servers and bartenders are kind and often remember returning customers. Make sure to check out their life music nights. Door covers apply and help provide security too so its not too bad. Arrive earlier and you can avoid the cover completely. Parking is plentiful and free.

After attempting to go to a larger, more popular Mexican place on Father’s Day we decided to try out Sierra Madre rather than waiting an hour. It was a great choice because we absolutely LOVED it. Some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. Great service and amazing salsa that wasn’t spicy but full of flavor. Sébastien was an excellent server who even introduced our kids to Horchata for the first time. If we lived in the area, this would be our go to all day long!!!

So, my wife and I were tired after working on Friday and decided we were just going to go out and grab some dinner. We couldn’t decide where to eat, but we knew we wanted Mexican food. We ended up picking a spot we hadn’t been to in a while. It used to be called Anejos and it was off of Felicita in Escondido. We get there and see it’s not called Sierra Madre Cantina, cool!
