Food is amazing!! however the portions are not aligned. They provide very little sauces with rice. Chipotle, on the other hand, let’s me get however much beans and toppings — sometimes they charge extra for extra beans but the charge is just $1. Sigri charges $2.50 for a tiny container of sauce — not fair.

Food wasn’t flavorful. Flavor felt diluted and honestly felt like airplane food. The portion was okay felt that the price was a bit high compared to the portion. Samosas however were very good and flaky and flavorful.

Sigri has the softest paneer I have ever had in the entire US! Their mango lassi is very refreshing and paneer bowl is a must try!

A decent and only Indian place to grab a quick bite in the area. The have both kati rolls and platter options. For kati rolls, the paratha is thin and tasty, chicken tikka was my favorite protein, but the remaining ingredients they serve are not very Indian. I was surprised to see they offered onions, beets, and cucumber salad. I would have liked them to be prepared with some Indian spice. I also tried the minced lamb, didn’t like it much, as it was pleasing to my taste buds, probably having it in cubes would have worked better than grounded.

The food is “really amazing” if you’re not Indian. Has a Chipotle-type vibe. Flavor is meh, okay. The saffron rice was good. The cucumber mint lemonade had a slight hint of cucumber, no taste of mint, but refreshing. The portion size is good and filling for the price. This place will do for those days I’m craving Indian bc there’s no other Indian places nearby.

My job offers group ordering and sometimes this place is on the offerings. I always get the paneer kati roll. I liked it at first but I always ask for green chilis on the side – yet I NEVER get them. If you love spicy food the way I do, it basically ruins the meal for me to not have green chili. Due to the added fees for delivery, I can’t believe what I spend….. and I wouldn’t care about the cost if I got what I ordered…. But it just becomes particularly bothersome

It’s nice to have the option of eating your preferred veggies and beans with Indian cousins at this restaurant.

I googled Indian food near me and this place came up. It was very easy to order when I arrived .The staff was polite. I had Sigri special rice with chicken tikka and chicken tandoori with garlic naan. It was a delight. The butter sauce and mango chutney was good. (Though I’ve had better butter sauce) Radish & cucumber slaw was ok.The mango lassi was out of this world. My bill was less than 20 bucks.4 stars because 1 piece of naan doesn’t cut it..at least 2. I’ll definitely revisit. Ps. Had to make extra naan when I got home (in plate)

Visited Sigri for lunch with a group of friends from work. It is one of the newest restaurants around in Newark at Rutgers campus and has become pretty popular in short time. The restaurant can be dubbed as an Indian Chipotle serving awesome food with great ambience, quick service and reasonable pricing. The staff was very friendly and suggested me the choice of sauce for the meal. It may get a bit crowded during lunch hours, but the lines move pretty fast and there is ample seating as well. They also have an open bread kitchen where one can see live Naan making in the Indian ovens called tandoor. The menu was very simple and had great choices for each course of the meal.
