A hidden gem on the northern edge of Elwood. Good food and service in a friendly, inviting atmosphere. There are plenty of breakfast and lunch/dinner choices. Seating is available for small or larger groups. Individual seating available at the counter. Cash & credit accepted. Take out an option, too.

I placed my order for lunch, and the beef and cheddar croissant was completely inedible. The beef was dry and hard, like it had been sitting out and cooking in a dry pot for hours. It smelled awful and did not look appetizing at all. I feel like I paid for garbage.

The clam chowder was spoiled and inedible. The mashed potatoes had a tremendous amount of salt and were also inedible. It is possible that one chef tampers with the food. Many people get sick here. The cooks contaminate, poison the food, and laughs while u eat it. Do not eat here.

Stopped in at noon on a Wednesday. It’s was bustling. We were seated and our waitress Jenny stopped at our table for a drink order . After we had a few sips off our drinks she took our order. The the Skirt Steaks were cooked to perfection. The highlight was the Biscuits and Gravy. They get a 9 out 10 . The restaurant gets high marks across the board. ON POINT IN EVERY CATEGORY. We came here after a funeral and honestly felt taken advantage of. We weren’t sure how many people we would have, so we made the reservation for 100 with the idea that we would take leftovers home if not that many people came. Only about 70 people came, so when the meal was over we asked for our leftovers. We were initially told that all of the food was served. Later, they did bring out about 6 containers with some leftovers in them, but still nowhere near the 30 meals worth it should have been. If that isn’t bad enough, they charged $20/person for meals that were small and cheap. They served no white meat chicken, the roast beef was a cheap and extremely tough and the ice cream was literally one small scoop of vanilla ice cream with no toppings. The “family style” plates that they brought to the table barely had enough food for everyone to have a small serving. No one left having what anyone would consider a full meal. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. An absolute disappointment on an already overwhelmingly sad time for our family.
