Holy cow, this place is really good. You get salsa and a white sauce with your chips as soon as you sit. I had the empanadas and they were legit! Service was great, restaurant was clean and bathrooms were also very clean. You have to give this place a shot.

My husband ate here for the first time and LOVED it. I’ve been with some co-workers a few times and it’s always delicious! I insisted we come tonight so my husband could fall in love with Sylvia’s too! The portions are so large we couldn’t even finish it all!

This was our first visit. We really enjoyed the chips and Queso which had a kick. The chicken Fajitas were good, but we prefer ours with a little more flavor. They we’re served with a cup of melted garlic butter which we didn’t care for. It’s a busy placed located on the UT campus. They have covered parking in the attached garage behind the restaurant and a few additional spaces on the street out front. We will revisit and try something different from the menu next time

Silvia’s is hands down the Best Mexican Restaurant in Knoxville. A very friendly family owned business with great food and drinks. Silvia’s staff always does an amazing job both in front of the house back to the kitchen. Silvia’s is a must visit for locals and out of town visitors. Pro tip: if you visit Silvia’s on the weekends during the school year it can get very busy quickly and be busy for hours so get there early or prepared to wait.

Mixed review. Food? Excellent. Steak fajita and tres leches cake was the bomb. Service? Sucks. Had to sit myself, tell the waiter I am here. Ask for utensils. Felt like a was inconveniencing their napkin folding session. After tipping, the server walked away as if my tip offended him. His service offended me! Try it, you might get a different vibe. Worth visiting for an authentic taste but be ok with sub-par service.

This restaurant makes me want to move to this town! EVERYTHING was so delicious! And do you see the size of that burrito? It was HUGE! My hubby got the Burrito Plaza with carne asada y chorizo, and I had the carnitas with charro beans. I could not finish all of my meal because it was so much food, but I just had to try their sopapillas, and I’m SO glad I did! Absolutely phenomenal! Perfect balance of puffy and crispy tortillas with cinnamon, sugar, honey, ice cream and strawberry slices!
