The only issue was the hostess barely speaking to us as she seated us and rushed off which is my reason for the four star rating for atmosphere. We will definitely return though, our waitress was very friendly and helpful and the food was to die for! I got the Simon Sr. Burger which was delicious and came with steak fries that were the perfect blend of soft yet crispy and perfectly salted. My husband got the Fork & Knife meal which had fried chicken on a bed of mashed potatoes drenched in gravy (which our waitress asked if it was enough gravy when my husband had gotten most way through his meal which was a pleasant surprise!) and was served with a side of green beans and corn mix. Since Rustic has closed in Rocky River we have been searching for a decently priced restaurant with just as delicious food to go to instead and we may have found it in Simon’s. It was just under $30 for us both to eat and the portions were enough to satisfy. I will be recommending this restaurant to my family and friends!

Did a google search for restaurants near me and decided to grab a quick bite to eat. The food was delicious! Reminded me of a home cooked meal. We had matzo ball soup, stuffed cabbage and beef stroganoff. It was so good!! Our server was so nice, and very attentive. I do believe her name was Alyssa. Definitely recommend!

Wow this place is amazing!! It’s a very nice atmosphere. The tables were neat and clean. I had the French onion soup with 1/2 Ruben sandwich. The garlic bread that came with the soup was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The sandwich came with 1000 island and real horseradish. It was so good! My friend had their Simon burger and said it was fantastic! He could tell that it was made from high quality beef. I can’t wait to return and try some of their other meals.

Simon’s is one of those places that probably your grandparents have been going to their whole life. I’ve been there on several occasions and have gotten the Reuben, Pastrami and Corned Beef sandwiches and was quite pleased with the sandwiches – the prices seem reasonable for their quantity and quality. I think they’re a better value than Slymans and it also tastes better. Their Matzoh Ball and Chicken Noodle soup is also great and reasonably priced (sometimes due to digestive health reasons I’m limited to soup and this is a go to for me). The pastries they have on display looked exceptional, but I unfortunately couldn’t have any since I was on a diet – they’ll be a must try in the future! The only thing I don’t care for too much are the fries – I think if the fries were better I’d rate Simon’s as a solid 5, but the soup and pastry make up for it. My wife got the Corned Beef and Potatoe Pancake sandwich and that looked excellent as well.

Food is great. Bit outdated and some of the staff doesn’t rush too fast. Fine if your not in a hurry, but when you are on lunch from work it can cause you to return late.

The food was delicious and service at the bar was great but it was 89 outside and no air-conditioning. Way to hot for comfort even with all the fans running. Don’t know if we’ll return before fall if it isn’t fixed.

I have been coming here with my family for years and recently, the service in the dining room has been horrendous. We were there for my brother’s birthday and we all left very frustrated based on the service we received. The server never came back after she took our drink order and we had to flag someone down to ask if we could take our order. On the flipside, Tara is the best bartender and our service and experience in the bar is always exceptional because of her!!

The staff here is always very nice. Good comfort food that’s reasonably priced. Great soup. If you love tuna melts, theirs is worth trying. Very good. Also, great bagels and lox. Always, but never have to wait which is great.
