Stopped in to get a drink while we were shopping and then decided to get some fries. While we waited for the fries the smell got to be too much so we had to break down and get some gyros. Glad we did. They were really good, stuffed with meat. One easily fed two people. I love that they wrap them in a pita. The pita texture was perfect to enjoy a gyro and not end up with it all over your lap and face. Really delicious. I’d also like to call out the service. The person who took our order and cooked the fries was great, even though we kept updating the order. Everything was made fresh and everyone was great. This place really ought to be busier.

I saw a bunch of stars on Google review, but I just wasn’t happy with the food. 33 bucks for this burnt up sweat potatoes fries. My order was the same burnt too, 2 dinning in and 2 . Just order the regular basic fries your better off

I stop by here for a quick lunch or meal quite often. The food is quite solid–generous portions on the chicken, well seasoned, and I like the fries. Salad is solid too.

It’s decent food. They stay busy so it’s hard to get through on the phone. I ordered a gyro, they were out of the roasted potatoes so was a little disappointed in that.

I was hungry and not to be biased but the food always tastes better when you have fantastic servers. They had a bad team that didn’t care but the new attitude of the crew is superb. I enjoyed the gyro had plenty of meat and super yummy loaded fries! Wait time was long.

I do NOT recommend this place! Reviews must be fake. I order online and when I got there they said they never got my order. Then I waited 10 minutes because of that!!! waste of time. Get the burger no mayo nothing plain bread with one tomato one lettuce! It was NOT good just a basic burger that you can get anywhere. Besides that they were rude! Not sure if owner but this black lady came in didn’t even say thank you took long on my food . Avoid this place!!! And too pricey !!! For the flavorless taste!!! And kids working the register. Not a good environment, does not look sanitary, and no apology or anything.

General disappointing experience this time. This place used to be great. Ordered a bingle rd burger which has provolone and jalapeno poppers. Didn’t get provolone, it was American I think. Had two jalapeno poppers. Burger was dry. Ordered Greek fries which were just regular fries with a dash of feta. No extra seasoning or anything. A friend said his gyro was good though.

I paid ten dollars for a gyro sandwich. It had two very thin slices of gyro and a ton of salad. It looked and tasted like frozen Sysco food. We left went down the road and got a burger. The guy behind counter seemed very distracted and uninterested in being there. We’ve been twice and both times left very unsatisfied. Never again.

Cool little place in Spring Branch. Converted house into. Burger shack. Nice patio with plenty of seating. The buns are very good and really help the burger. Patties seemed to be cooked on a flattop because there is a very nice crust on them as well as being juicy.

It’s a quaint neighborhood place that I think was originally just Simply Greek but now it’s both the Burger Shack and Simply Greek. They look to be adding hot dogs eventually so it will be Simply Greek, Burger Shack and Top Dog! It was our first time and we went with burgers. The burgers are named after local streets in the area and have a wide variety of combinations. My wife had the “donut burger” and I had the “pizza burger” (sorry forgot their street name). My wife got the donut burger plain and dry and it was really good (I had a couple of bites). The pizza burger had tiny pepperonies on top! The real surprise was the fries. We went with waffle and they were really crispy and seasoned. I don’t think I’ve had a waffle fry that crispy. We thought the food was really great and will be back. I plan to try the Greek menu next. Prices per burger, pita or plate seemed to range from $12 to $15. So a little over $30 for 2 people.
