The chicken and waffles were awesome. Chicken is perfectly crispy and served HOT! biscuits made by Mama were fat and fluffy and the gravy had flecks of flavor throughout. There was a band playing jazz and other oldies that had people tapping their toes while they dined. A lovely Seattle Sunday late morning brunch. Thank you!

Simply Soulful has tasty food and friendly staff. They have some of the best barbecue I’ve eaten in Seattle and good barbecue is really difficult to find around here. They also have sweet tea, which is a plus. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. The pecan pie was also great. My partner loved the fried catfish sandwich. I tried a bite and liked it as well.

Nice, low-key spot with patio. The restaurant is attached to Amazon Fresh (where the keypad entry restrooms are located). Good food, great music and outlets for remote workers. Thanks for making our lunch stop worth it during our sightseeing adventure.

It’s a good thing I don’t live nearby. Otherwise I’d eat here everyday! Grits are fluffy n creamy, I could eat their corn muffins until I’m sick! I happily and satisfyingly ate my fried porchops with my hands. Soul, funk, and funky disco music has you chair dancing. LOVE IT!

This place blew me away. I should have waited to take a bite after I took a pic but I had no idea it would be so good that I would want everybody to know. The biscuit taste and texture is perfect. I got the biscuit breakfast sandwich – now the best I’ve had of this southern style in town. Plenty of bacon, perfectly cooked egg, cheese but not too much. SO GOOD. And a small pecan pie perfect for two. I’m from the south and I have to say when it tastes homecooked like this food does, it doesn’t feel too heavy or rich. This is such a great neighborhood spot with indoor seating and a little patio. They have art curated by a local arts curator. We’re looking forward to going back.

I got the simple breakfast: eggs, grits, biscuit and sausage. It was all amazing. Even the scrambled egg were some of the best eggs I’ve had. Biscuit was delicious and dense. Grits were creamy and tasty!
