I love halo halo and I’ve tasted quite a few from different places. This is an okay halo halo. I would like more fillings. I find it has too much ice and it needs more fillings. Maybe add Leche flan etc. The food area has a good variety. Be prepared to line up on busy times and grocery store has the typical filipino goods.

Many years ago, I tried this place and the food wasn’t good. Something must have changed because the food is great and more variety of food to select than before. Now, I come here about twice a month and get most of the family favorite pork adobo, dinuguan, lechon kawali and a pound of barbecue. Sometimes I get lucky enough to get the tocino before it’s all gone. Lechon Sisig is very good also. Mongo, La-ing, Bicol express, bistek and binagoongan when we want change it up. The lumpia is made to order just right. I just discovered La-ing and fried Pompano are great together It seems that more customers are coming here, so they doing great!

Respect the line. Some people who shop here pretend to look at what’s for lunch and then suddenly jump the line to get ahead. Must have a lot of patience when shopping here.

Cook ‘Em and Call ‘Em Out
The food tasted good but it tore up my stomach and the ladies seem to have a problem hearing/understanding what I’m asking! I had no idea what most of the dishes behind the glass barrier were, and the lady would not tell me (she seemed offended that I asked.) A lot of items were unmarked, price wise. They need to turn their music down or use a microphone if they can’t hear what I’m ordering. She messed up my order and had the nerve to be annoyed.. she repeated what I asked for and then proceeded to make the wrong thing. And they refused to put a fork in the bag for my mom’s order it was giving discrimination.

This is a small to-go restaurant in a Philippino supermarket. It was authentic as far as my experience goes, having worked in Luzon for a month and eaten a lot of the food. If you want lumpia there is a 5 minute lead time so get that in first. You order the food in a non-self service buffet line. I recommend you ask for help. I asked and the servers were very helpful to explain each dish and what to get. My meal was a one side which was inexpensive at $8 and included a can of soda.

Dry Rain
Place is like china express where you choose what dishes you like. They have combo plates or you can just buy the dish and choose which size to go cup you like. Small, medium, large styro cups. I advice get the small if you just want to test the dish out (dry, or soup based). Once you like something then the guideline is medium for dry dishes, large for soup based dishes.

Paid $9 for them to give me more double rice than the actual entree…. better off going to a different place than here
