Mountains Are Best
Heard good things about this place and finally had opportunity to stop for breakfast today. So glad we did! Breakfast burrito special and egg sandwich on sourdough were both excellent. Fruit was fresh and smoothie was superb. Best was Parmesan-rosemary grits, just superb. Coffee would do an old time truck stop proud. Prices very reasonable, staff very nice and very professional too. Clean as a pin. Great addition to our local area.

Delightful cafe and gift shop on Main Street in Marion, VA. Fantastic breakfast and coffee (large mugs) but the friendly, helpful atmosphere made it top notch and they had cloth napkins! Thank you! The gift shop was full of interesting things and eclectic decorations. Don’t miss this fantastic place if in Marion. I hope to come back.

Great lunch meal at this homey restaurant. The food was spectacular and the prices were reasonable. It was a great pit spot on our road trip. Food was fresh and portions are huge. Favorite was the turkey and apple sandwich. The waitress was so personable and customized one of our sandwiches too. A must to dine in.

Came to Marion VA from NY to visit family. Coming to this Cafe was like living in a storybook fairy tale. The atmosphere was peaceful, inspiring, inviting, warm, eclectic and very clean. The food was perfect! We went for lunch. The homemade food was a welcomed surprise to my mouth that has been bored of corporate chain food. The soup and pannis were the most favorable I have ever had. The staff and history of this family business completed this 5 star experience. My soul was craving the kindness and warmth offered by Jenny and Ms Pat. I highly recommend this place!

This is a quaint spot. The food was amazing and the service was so friendly. I ordered the Farmer’s breakfast sandwich (pictured.) Stepping out of my comfort zone and it was worth it. The fruit was so fresh which was amazing for this time of year (December.) Will definitely go back when I make my way to the area again.

I love this restaurant. I’ve never ordered something I didn’t love…but my favorite is the Tomato Basil!!! It’s so good. Their different pasta salads every day is also such a fun variety. Each one is super good. 5 stars isn’t a high enough rating.

Seeing that the quiche crust was obviously made by a human and not a machine made me optimistic my lunch today was going to be a good one. And it was! The ham and cheese quiche was excellent as was the Cobb salad, which had sliced eggs fanned out, real bacon crumbled and a bowl filled with fresh veggies. And I was pleasantly surprised by the cost too—an excellent meal near the cost of fast food. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. There are tables both in front and in back of this restaurant/gift shop, giving it a bit of a upscale country store vibe. Today was my first visit but won’t be my last!

Traveling around TN and VA and stopped for lunch. Great gluten free options and super friendly staff who were happy to tell us about allergen friendly options. Cute arrangement of gifts in the front area too. I had the caesar salad and the tomato basil soup. Reasonably priced menu as well.
