Sisters in Cheese is a cheese-centric catering business in Madrid, Iowa. We serve all of central Iowa with our Grazing Boards, Boxes, Tables and Beyond. We also serve delicious Carryout Breakfasts on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and have a Grab and Go Cooler that is stocked with Mini Grazers, Cold Sandwiches, Blocks of our Favorite Cheeses, House-made Dips, Salads, (plus Soups, and Mac you can take home and reheat!).
In addition to all the deliciousness, Sisters in Cheese houses Wayside Mercantile, a small gift shop featuring super-unique items, many of which are from small, local businesses!

Some of the best breakfast sandwiches I have had. Cold brew Coffee was great as well. The staff was super friendly. It’s always great to find such gems in small towns. Definitely recommend driving up there just for breakfast and you can burn those calories hiking in the nearby Ledges State Park.

I’ve been wanting to try this place and finally made it. So yummy. The breakfast sandwiches are worth every penny. We got the 100 and the Janet. The Janet was unique. Raspberry compote with bacon and eggs. Highly recommend.

The sandwiches from this place are out of this world. Do yourself a favor when ordering any of the flavorful breakfast sandwich grab a pressed sandwich for lunch,maybe two. Step up your snack or picnic game with a grazer or plan ahead and get a bigger box of delicious. Also has local merch that is fun and unique. Staff is awesome.

Quiet family run place with no indoor seating. The muffins and sandwiches are undersized for the cost, but delicious all the same. Enjoyed the recommended drinks and a peaceful Sunday morning sitting outside.

Roasted red pepper soup and a cheese tray, so good. My daughter works in Madrid and got this to go for me as I watched my grandson. It was absolutely delicious, highly recommend! 2 meals for sure!

So wonderful! The sandwiches and drinks were so good (I had the sun up sammy and strawberry lemonade) and the service couldn’t be beat! The lovely ladies working there were so kind and chatted with us about local artisans as we were just working in the area! Will definitely be visiting again!

Amazing place! Delicious food! If you have some family members that love local finds plus some hidden gems, this is your one stop shop. Went in to buy a bday gift for one family member and I ended up knocking out 2 more and had a delicious sandwich for the ride home.
