We love stopping by here for lunch when we’re in Charleston. They have a smaller buffet area that is filled with delicious food. The entire buffet is kept hot, fresh and is prepared beautifully. Try everything, you won’t regret it!

The worst food I ever ate in my life time. I ordered chicken biryani and it looks like veg Pulau with few chicken breast pieces. When I called them and asked they said punjabi style and this is how we make.

The food was great and the staff we spoke to were super sweet/friendly and very helpful! Great family owned business that’s apparently been open since the 90s, very cool. Would recommend

Stopped in and had the lunch buffet. The place is grubby. Glasses were dirty. Buffet setup was in a tight corner and the selection was minimal with a completely empty counter. We tried a little of each of the dishes and none were good. Either lacking spice or flavor! We were told that selection was limited due to covid????? Don’t waste your money! Won’t be back…ever!! We were not offered a menu!

I was very lucky to come across this gem in downtown Charleston. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. They have an excellent buffet that has been pared down a bit post covid but I am hoping they bring back the full buffet soon. Highly recommend them for lunch or dinner!

Sitar of India is a very friendly environment and the food is always great. The Singh family has a staple establishment of downtown Charleston, which provides a wealth of happiness and full tummys.

Food-wise, this place had great meals at good prices. Our waitress/hostess was kind. However, the gentleman who I believe to be the manager came out of the kitchen a couple of times and talked to the women (and only the women) in the couples at my table and the one behind us. He pretty much implied that I was fat in front of my date, started asking me what my ethnicity was, and then blew off my boyfriend when he asked for the check. I recommend takeout if you want to order from here.
