Oh my gosh, they are not kidding that these are the best burgers in town! While they are a bit pricey, they are well worth it. I have to say, I wasn’t impressed by the service. The girl at the cash register/taking orders appeared super bored and almost annoyed that we were there! But, after watching her interact with other customers it was clear the behavior was not about us and relatively consistent. Perhaps she was having a bad day or maybe this is just her personality. But, don’t let this deter you, the burgers were outstanding! They were cooked perfectly and we all enjoyed what we ordered. The fries are good too but eat them quick or they will get cold quick! I would definitely come back if I had more time here!

Hands Down – One of the top enjoyable burgers in the US! Have been blessed with the opportunity to travel with work to taste the offerings from hundreds of acclaimed Burger Joints. Up to this point, the best burgers were from “Charm City Burgers” in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Well, they have met their match in this hidden gem in Sitka. Great quick service, which is not the norm for Premium Burger Joints. I can’t imagine taking a cruise ship all the way to Sitka and missing out on this Burger Haven. Wife had the Halibut Fish Sandwich with a side of Crab Legs – Boom! This combination of Burger/Premium Seafood is Entrepreneurial Genius.

I was with a group of six. We had docked from a cruise and just wanted something other than ‘cruise food’. We found this local restaurant packed full of locals, so we knew it had to be good. The burgers are AWESOME. I recommend not eating on the boat and checking out this place. You won’t regret it!

We had the best lunch at the crab shack! The king crab legs were absolutely delicious, and since it was a slower day, they upgraded my lunch free of charge, which was such a nice surprise and delight! I highly recommend this place if you find yourself with an afternoon in Sitka

Possibly one of the best burgers i’ve ever had. I ordered the El rancho burger with a side of fries and it was incredible. the fries were nice and crispy and perfectly seasoned, as for the burger it was juicy, full of flavor, and had the perfect amount of toppings. I highly recommend if you ever visit sitka you try this place immediately.
