Sizka is a delicious surprise. If you enjoy the subtle complexities of sushi you couldn’t do better than to stop and have a meal. Your experience will delight you. As you walk in you’re greeted by a clean atmosphere, simple, modern and enjoyable. The air is filled with enticing smells that beg you to try everything so that you don’t miss out on a single delectable bite. The food is pleasantly fresh, excitingly compound and artistically presented. Every aspect of your time and meal is designed and prepared to uplift the soul and leave you better than when you arrived. Take your time, enjoy the process and please your senses you’ll not regret it.

I’ve tried every sushi place in Baltimore, and can confidently say Sizka is the best out there. You can’t go wrong with any of the sushi options, given the high quality of the fish that Chef Jay procures. If you’re more of a Spicy Tuna / California roll fan, I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone while you’re here.

Tried this place once for Omakase to-go ($85) and my wife liked it so decided to try get it again (to-go) for her birthday. Called ahead of time to order, was told it would be ready in about 30 minutes so we ran some errands and came maybe 35-40 minutes after ordering. Paid our bill .. and then just sat there for what ended up being another 45 minutes before only then receiving our meal. This, while walk in parties came in after, ordered and got their food for dine-in AND take out .. when we ordered much sooner! Was very upsetting for us, only at the end was it then explained that they “lost our order” somehow. At this point, I was so disappointed in the customer service experience that it didn’t matter how the food tasted. Like really, you’re just going to let your paying customer just sit there in your restaurant waiting for food for 45 minutes. Was told the chef gave us some extra fish to make up for it, it was one piece of nigiri. I don’t know how you run a restaurant like this, you can’t even use the excuse they were busy — there were no take out orders ahead of me (one after while we sat there waiting) and there were only two couples seated in the entire restaurant at my arrival. Needless to say, we won’t be coming back. Please do better for your future customers.

Not sure why some of these reviews are nitpicking/overly negative. Just look for yourself at any of the photos already posted.

Take it from an Asian-American Florida native who has been to Japan multiple times – the sashimi platter here is as fresh as it gets. Fantastic quality, presentation, & value!! The rest of my party ordered rolls which were also blue ribbon quality!! Definitely a must-go for every time I’m back in town!!

Had a great meal at Sizka on Thursday night! Would definitely recommend the Gyoza – they were cooked well and the sauce was a little spicy. The nigiri were a little expensive but much larger than most other restaurants. Also it’s BYOB which is a huge plus!

Came in after a long day at work. Waitress that is wearing a mask brings us water, then goes to vacuum nearby. Who wants to listen to a vacuum when you are trying to relax? Waitress took our order but did not ask what we wanted to drink…we have never been here before…was not aware they do not serve saki…or any alcohol..it’s BYOB and they charge you 3 bucks a person if you bring your own booze. She nevwr mentioned that.Waitress answers questions we ask while walking away from us…very difficult to understand her with the mask. Very rude as she said she instructed not to open the tinfoil…but we could not understand her. Food okay…had much better sushi in Florida. Needless to say, we won’t be back. I am a traveling nurse, my husband is a carpenter….well traveled and experienced foodies.
