We had the chicken fried chicken and fried fish. We enjoyed both. I found it odd that their side dishes all come in a small plastic container (ramekin.)The service was excellent. Teenage girls we’re taking order and taking orders to the tables. The girls were pleasant and professional. The theme of the dining room is, well….a bit dated, but strangely comfortable. We enjoyed our meal and the servers gave the place a warm feeling. The prices were very reasonable. I recommend this place!

This. Place. ROCKS! We were in Sweetwater, Texas on our way to Colorado. We looked for a place to have dinner and online reviews directed my wife and me to Skeet’s Texas Grill. WOW! Our waitress was Katlynn and she took really good care of us. The food was served fast and it was hot. We shared an order of onion rings for starters. The onion rings were golden fried and delicious. My wife had the battered fish plate and I had the chicken-fried steak. Generous portions on the food and we were full! Modest prices. You won’t regret coming to Skeet’s. (Burrp; sorry, but the food was good!)

While traveling from Frisco to Plains Texas we found this gem on Google Maps. I didn’t want to eat anything to heavy since we still had 3 hours to drive but when I saw their Chicken Fried Steak was voted top 10 in Texas my son and I took the plunge. The CFS was perfectly crispy on the outside the country style gravy was on point and the meat was really tender. Usually when you find a place like this the meats are great and the sides are not so good but NOT at Skeets! Their green beans were phenomenal and the mashed potatoes were delicious. My wife ordered the Chicken with the special Skeets Mushroom sauce and it was out of this world. The fried pickles were delicious as well. So glad to have found this Sweetwater Texas gem and we will definitely be back again !!!

I started my meal with Skeet’s Fried Pickles!!! So yummy and I ate too many, so I only had room for 1 and half crispy Fish Tacos!!! Delicious! We had 7 at our table and our waitress was great!

CFS was great, fried mushrooms were delicious and you got a good amount. Didn’t care for the donut/biscuit/roll thing. The waitress was great and provided amazing customer service!

Got recommended when passing through Sweetwater. Good prices, big portions and comfort food. Service was good even though they were full house with customers waiting. Refills on the iced tea was a welcomed surprise at 40°C. Walked to the hotel room and laid down as I had over eaten. All around: very satisfied.

Long time regular, and this is probably the best place in town for chicken strips/steak fingers/steak. The food is consistent and delicious, my favorites are the hamburger steak, steak fingers and geilled chicken. We are always happy with our wait staff, and the prices are right there with everyone else. The only complaint I actually have is that we wish the building was bigger, and had more space for seating. It can get quite loud and crowded, so sometimes it’s takeout instead!
