Skipper’s is always great! Never had a bad experience! Great staff and delicious food. Just stop changing locations moving further away from Salem/Keizer area lol.. cute building now. Always get the Skipper’s platter combo.

The service here is good and the staff is friendly. There isn’t anything exceptional about Skipper’s, but it’s good for fish and chips and a bit of nostalgia. The food and chowder are consistently good and have been for as long as Skipper’s had been around. It has an all you can eat option, which is nice and the prices aren’t terrible. I go here often enough and I will definitely be back

The food was absolutely delicious. The service was amazing. The cashier was training someone and yet the ordering and paying went so smooth you wouldn’t even know. The service from Montana the waitress was also simply awesome. I have never visited this Skippers but I will definitely make the 30 minute drive over and over for this food and service.

This was a second visit for me and both times the food was great.This Skippers is in an older building but it has charm, it’s clean and has seating indoors or out. There are tables for 2 or 4 and there’s enough room for pushing tables together if you have more than 4 in your group. Restrooms (2) were clean. Parking is on-street or in a lot in back.

Just as good as can be for borderline fast food. The fish is tender and flaky and full of flavor. The prices are about average. It doesn’t take too long to get the food after you order. Better seating could help but overall really good food.

My family and I ate at skippers. I have 3 boys so as you can imagine it can get hectic and crazy. The server (her name was Rebecca) she was so kind and sweet, patient and attentive to our family needs. The food was wonderful and having such a great waiter really helped make our family dinner wonderful! I would recommend Skippers to anyone;-).

Food was good; however, moving to the location in Monmouth is not the norm for the Skippers we liked to frequent. Had to ask 2 people where it was now located with vague responses. It is not visible from the main street and seating is very limited. There is outside patio service. Wish they would come back to South Salem.

If you live in Monmouth it’s worth stopping by for a bowl of clam chowder. This restaurant is cozy and inviting with its friendly staff. It’s just too bad that the Skippers of today are not the Skippers of their more prominent days.
