This place seems to be a disaster. Placed an order (and paid) on their site. Get there and out of the fish we ordered. They offered a different type of fish which was close in price (they are unable to refund). Ok fine. Then they were out of the dessert. So that’s another ~$8 of food they are unable to offer. An hour later and we have our food. I’m sure the meal that was available should taste great. Manager offer an extra item to make up for. Finally get home with food just to realize still missing items. Wish I would have listened to the bad reviews and avoided the place.

Bad experience. As soon as I was handed my bag, I could smell the burnt-ness of my food. When I got to my car and opened the bag, it did not look burnt (as seen in the picture), but the burnt taste was ALL OVER the shrimp. It’s fried, but in order to fully enjoy, I had to get the shrimp out of the fried portion and use the cocktail sauce. Also, the ketchup was nowhere to be found in the restaurant (this is COVID-19 era, so maybe this is why) – when ordering on the phone, they should’ve considered mentioning that. I just left without asking for ketchup after I looked for it near the drinks because the young people that work here created a juvenile atmosphere and I was already over things because I knew the food would be a disappointment (which it was). The price is too high for this amount of food. I have no reason to ever return and would never waste my time coming near this place again or recommend to others.

A big disappointment since the reopen, out of a number of items , employees seem lost and use inappropriate language, as well as horseplay . Took forever to recieve the food over 30 minutes.

The owner takes a big role in making this place seem like you’re at a friend’s house for a cookout. The food is amazing with huge portions- a great value for families. We had a little bit of everything and will definitely be back again.

When I went to the place on a Friday they said it will be a 30min wait. I took the wait to see how how good the place was. At first I thought it was just another spot that just black people like to go to. I was mistaken, there were black, and white at this place. At that point I knew it was a good spot to eat. Then more people came through the door (10 or more) they was told that it will be a 30min wait they didn’t hesitate to say that’s fine and they continued to order. At that point I knew I was at a great spot to eat. When I got my food they guy said, “We don’t do refunds” . I was confused until I looked at the sign by the soda machine lol. I got my food it was fresh. The collard greens filled me up with pure joy, it was so good I drank the juice. I had the fried okra bites it was surprisingly awesome because of okra slimy nature. The mac n cheese made me want to marry it. That was until I got to skrimp it was the most freshest fried food I had in a while, it was like heaven on earth. IF YOU WANT GREAT FRESH FRIED FOOD THAT MAKE YOU MELT, GO DOWN TO SKRIMP SHACK. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!!!! Also!!!! The Customer service they have was very comfortable they had this at home Bobby environment. THEY’RE A EXAMPLE OF HOW YOU SHOULD TREAT PEOPLE. R-E-S-P-E-C-T
