This dude has good ribs. I think he told me he used oak. I prefer hickory, but he cooked good ribs…. fat was well rendered and ribs were meaty, well smoked and tender without being overcooked. A bit salty for me, but that’s just my opinion. .. good Q sauce,too. DELICIOUS! !! Unfortunately, he has recently had a fire and last couple of times I’ve been by he’s been closed. Sure hope he can rebuild.

Yep, this is sholey it! Smoke out the chimney, a big home made barrel fulla meat on the inside. Once the smell takes hold you can’t get loose-this is the real, and Joe’s been making cue for over 40 years. Best dry rub ribs I ever ate, big n meaty, with home made trimmings, each better’n the last. Collards, beans, mac n cheese, tater salad, and don’t miss the Whiskey Cake-oh my Gawd!
