Decent hole in the wall bar. Nothing to write home about. Music was a bit loud on a Sunday evening with only 8 people in the bar. Couldn’t hear the game and difficult to have a conversation.

Weird, had great times at the slackers by North Star a few years ago but had no clue the chain turned into a sexist establishment. Tried to head out to the one on St. Mary’s with a group of friends and one male friend got turned away for wearing a black tank top. Mind you, it’s August, 90 degrees out still and it was riddled with holes or unkempt.

Slackers is cool man. It’s got a good vibe and lots of tvs if you’re trying to catch a game. I dropped to 3 stars because of the music situation. If you go when it’s packed then it’s no worries, but they have a pay to listen music situation. If nothing is being played then you have to listen to talk radio or whatever one of the TVS is playing. I mean it’s full blast Fox News level at a family function type of mess. It’s nothing short of horrible. I spent $20 bucks there with just me and my girl trying to not hear idiots on TV arguing about what Cleveland can do this year with whoever they picked at volume 100.

We had a ton of fun. Wish there were more arcade games but they don’t come cheap and the sheer size limits about everyone. Staff was nice. Place was clean. Easy to get to and uber/lyft pick up and drop off right out front. This is an area with several bars. We did not even try to park so no opinion on availability.

We were staying at the Hampton across the street prior to going on a cruise. Hotel folks recommended Slackers. They were not wrong — hamburger was yummy along with sweet potato fries. They weren’t real busy mid-afternoon & we sat quite a while visiting with a cousin that lives in the area that we had not seen in a while. Waitress stopped back by several times to check on us. Good service!

So I’ve been coming here since day 1 when they opened. There hasn’t been 1 day that I’ve had bad service. On top of that, when I come back the bartenders remember me and have small talk with me. They also know my go to beer, Crawford Boch. They are personal and I like that. The Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey shot is the best. But get it chilled. The old school video games are the best.

Wildly affordable bar, the nightly specials are crazy, $2.75 for a 500ml can is awesome. Bar staff were quite friendly and had a great atmosphere. Quite enjoyed the arcade games as well.
