I ordered the hummus appetizer with black beans, the bread was fresh and I think same bread used in pizza crust. I got the hulk including green goddess dressing, avocados jalapenos, and wife got the California sunrise similar except with chicken and spinach no jalapenos. They are very busy, appetizer arrived same time as pizza so defeated the purpose. They have various beer options and pizzas are their specialty about 12-15 a plate. The crust seems ok it’s not brick oven baked and has a commercial frozen taste texture. A brick oven produces a better crust and pizza.

Ate lunch with a small group. I had the Chicken Alfredo pizza, and my wife had the Southern Comfort pizza. With us having kids with us, it surprised us to see there was no dedicated kid’s meal. Our server recommended we order a side of Mac & Cheese for our kids (wasn’t shown on the menu), and it ended up being the most delicious part of the meal. Both of our pizzas were good (not great). Service was solid, though it could have been faster. It took a LONG time between placing our order and getting our food. Overall, we enjoyed the experience at Slackwater and will return again sometime in the future without kids.

With how the prices are id expect better service and atmosphere, very crowded restaurant and also sad they moved from their other location near the river. The staff is nice but one waiter always leans down to the table awkwardly like he’s talking to a child when talking your order…and the food wasn’t that great pizza was mostly crust and toppings weren’t cooked all the way… I dont think id go again..

Fantastic place to eat! We’ve wanted to try it for awhile after hearing great reviews about it from family and friends. The Italian Job pizza is fantastic, I made it into a calzone which you can do with any pizza. Pretty reasonably priced for what you get. For 2 adults and a child we at for a little over $60 including drinks, appetizers, 2 pizzas, and tip. We will definitely be going back.
