Went here for breakfast. We got to the restaurant around 8:00 am and there was no wait, so we were immediately seated. Great ambience, nice service, good food! Price range is mid-level, comparable to other breakfast/brunch places in the area. Dishes were about $12-16.

This is a nice addition to the breakfast/brunch scene in New Albany. The menu is a combination of standard breakfast options and other items with more of a Mexican twist. I ordered the Mexico City omelet, which came with hash browns and toast. The omelet was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The hash browns were straightforward and tasty. The toast wasn’t great, but the rest of the meal was enough that I didn’t need it. My dining mate ordered the Epic Sandwich and wasn’t thrilled with it. He said there was some sort of flavor that was off-putting, but it wasn’t in every bite. He said he’d be game to try the place again though.

My wife and I were treated today when our realtor Angela Wells, took us out for a celebratory brunch here at this amazing restaurant! We have always been fans of some good Mexican dishes, but this place set it off with their twist of a wonderful Mexican brunch menu!! Our server Perla was nothing short of amazing and professional! With an outgoing attitude and a smile that lit up the patio! We need more atmospheres such as this place in our area! Although we are now on a strict budget- we will be back- with more friends and family! And this is why we gave Sleepy Rooster five stars!!!

Alejandro made this a poor restaurant experience. My partner and I ordered food right at 1:00. We didn’t see Alejandro, our server, again until 1:30. Our food had been brought to us by a member of the kitchen staff (not Alejandro) after I watched it sit under the heat lamps of the serving window for 10 minutes. The food came without silverware and my partner had to flag down a server from a different table so that we could finally eat. No explanation, no apology. Alejandro said 10 words to us the whole hour we were there.

The food was pretty good. I felt like my chicken tasted like the precooked Tyson chicken tenders. Didn’t look or taste worth $16. The service was slow as mentioned in other reviews, I wasn’t in a rush so I didn’t really care.

Food was amazing and out very quickly. Our server was awful. He spilled quite a bit of coffee on our table and didn’t clean it up, disappeared after food was brought, we had to ask another server for water refills and our check. Will probably give it another try at some point based on food quality, hopefully with a different server.

The table next to us was sat after us then served before us which was a little annoying but once our server, Alyssa G, came she was great. She even brought out Churros at the end of the meal for our son’s 18th Birthday.

Great local breakfast restaurant. This is not your typical Bob Evans, IHOP or Wild Eggs (nothing against any of them). Met the owner as soon as we walked in the door. She was greeting customers and that says a lot! Tanner’s service was timely and food quality was spot on. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is everything! The decor is inviting and cheery. We will definitely be back often.
