Great bbq in a nice woody setting. Great service. The only issue with this place is the front entrance! You go under the sign and there is a piece of paper taped to the glass that says entrance is wooden door to the right. After trying several doors that did not open I saw someone inside signal to me and brought me to a wood wall that was a well disguised door. For the 15 minutes I was waiting for the rest of my party I watched out the window and let in 3 different bewildered parties who could not find the door either.

Great BBQ! Fast, friendly and reasonably priced. Not a place to go if you are looking for a large selection of foods, but everything they make is excellent. Pulled pork has crisp edges and falls apart at the same time. The sweet potato mash is unlike anything you’ve had and the Mac n cheese is fresh, delicious and made with large shells. Will be going back for sure!

I searched for the best BBQ places and stumbled onto this one. Slows BBQ caught my attention with all the awards it’s won for it’s famous sandwich and baby back ribs. I also loved the feel of the place and knew my fiance would too. The food was so good it was like being back home having a BBQ with family. The waitress was very nice and quick with checking in on us asking if we enjoyed the food or if we needed anything, she also was excited to know it was our first time there. My fiance and I both got the Favorite with BBQ chicken as the extra meat. I loved pretty much everything I got.

Slows Bar BQ has turned into a tradition for us whenever we are visiting Detroit. The staff are excellent and very attentive, the atmosphere is always good, and the food is always great and consistent every time. Not to mention the portions are more than generous. If you’re visiting the area, you won’t be disappointed!

Came in here for a snack and definitely got to experience their barbecue. If you like your ribs to fall off the bone this isn’t your place, more like gnaw them off the bone here. Wasn’t overly impressed with any of the food really. This is supposed to be like a famous barbecue joint. They did have some Eagle Rare though which, is rare.. Other than that, which most of it being it’s a barbecue place, nothing really to write home about I didn’t think.

Travelled all the way from Canada just to eat here. The absolute best bbq place I’ve ever had. My family loved it. The options are amazing, prices are unbelievable affordable for such good quality. Service was great, we didn’t go without, my drink never went empty. I highly recommend this place to anyone in & out of the country if you want to try some delicious food for a great price followed by friendly service this is the place!

Great local place to grab lunch with colleagues or clients. I’ve had three business lunches here and the food, service, and atmosphere have been great every time. “The Reason” sandwich is absolutely delicious and I would say that it is almost too much sandwich for most people to handle in one sitting… so be careful. The atmosphere is low key and the servers do a great job of checking in and topping off drinks while being pretty low key as well.
