A Smith
Visited on our way home from Streator because we saw them listed on a Pork Tenderloin Facebook group. While the size of the tenderloin didn’t disappoint, unfortunately the flavor was lacking. If you like a really crunchy plain panko breaded crust then this is for you. The tenderloin is pounded super flat so there isn’t much meat to each bite. The bar is quaint in a very small town. The bartender was very good and knew all the regulars by name and what they wanted to order.

Waitress/bartender gal very pleasant, fast and attentive. Fries were good. Coworker had the incredibly HUGE pork tenderloin. It could have feed 3 people easily. Came with crunchy pickle slices and garden fresh, riped tomatoe slices too. I had the pulled bbq chicken sand special. I will be getting the tenderlion next time, for sure. Smitty’s was very clean. A++

I finally got the chance to get to Smittys to try their HUGE tenderloin. It was fantastic, a lot of them are big but lack in taste, not this one. The flavor was great, and it was cooked perfectly.

Great restaurant with great food and very affordable prices. The staff was very nice and helpful. Their pork tenderloin is supposed to be big enough for 2 but in actuality, it would have fed 4 people.

I’ve been here in the past and was always pleased with everything. Today was totally different. We were 3rd table to be waited on and still took about 15mins to get waited on then about 45 mins to get food. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger and my daughter found 2 blondish colored hairs in it (none of us a blonde and neither was waitress) burger tasted a little off. The other 2 of us ordered the pork tenderloins. I don’t know were to begin. Hmmm well I unwrapped mine and found almost half of mine the breading was sauger and white like it had been sat in water. Next both of our crushs were crumbled and falling off, to the point you could barely pick up. Mine I picked up and half the breading slide off because it was slimey between breading and the pork. Breading lacked and real flavor and the meat tasted and looked just like a plain unseasoned boiled pork chop. My wife was extremely tought and chewy and mine had a huge fat ring that should of been trimmed down.

This is the best burger for the price ANYWHERE! It has to be nearly a 3/4 pound burger. We had the special that day which was a burger with bacon, onion rings, Gouda cheese and bourbon bbq sauce! Came with fries and it was still under $7! C’mon that’s unreal. The other giant burgers were even less. Do they charge outrageous prices for beer? Nope! Get a 16oz Hamm’s for $2, an Old Milwaukee for $1.50 or even a Stroh’s for $2. Worth the trip to the tiny town of Leonore. They even have a giant pavilion across the street for summer activities, bands and groups of motorcycle riders passing through. I will absolutely go back.

Friendly service! Appetizers were so good so were the Huge tenderloins didn’t even get past the bun. Thank you Randy for the most scrumptious dessert shots! Our Girl’s group all had a great time.

Chicken wings were the best! Fried chicken was delicious. My son liked his grilled chicken sandwich. Their jumbo shrimp wasn’t good, though. First, they were just normal sized shrimp. 2nd, shrimp were mushy. All in all, we had a good experience and will go back. Especially for them wings.
