Restaurants been there half a century, and they do an amazing job. It’s a regular breakfast stop for us. My go-to plates are the sourdough French toast and the omelets. I get the bacon no matter what, not sure if there’s better bacon in town.

We thought the Grandma’s special sourdough pancakes and waffle would have more flavor. But, the bacon was FANTASTIC!! Our waitress took good care of us, and the atmosphere was pretty and comfortable.

First time at Idaho falls:- must try Smitty’s pancake & steakhouse. We went there for breakfast and ordered some omelette and pancake. Omelette was delicious, however as a part of BREAKFAST quantity was less.

Got that country fried steak (CFS) for breakfast. Not the best CFS I ever had, but a solid CFS nonetheless. We lose a half star cause I asked for extra crispy hash browns and did not receive extra crispy hashies… We lose another half star cause my poached eggs were just a lil over poached. While these two slip ups didn’t make the food inedible, they weren’t to my specs. Good service and a very clean restaurant despite limp hashies and barely overcooked eggs.

I’m not 100% sure why I’ve given repeat business to this establishment. It must be at the request of people visiting with me who are from out of town and the location is convenient. Being that I don’t like to be negative, I don’t respond to their requests with the comment that Smitty’s service has been consistently poor.

I travel all over the country and I can say with absolute certainty that there are no better pancakes in the United States then at Smitty’s pancake house. There is something about them that just melts in your mouth and it has been that way since I moved here in 1991.

I loved this place. I am huge on supporting local and this charming place is one of the reasons why. The art that graced the walls was an unexpected delight to see. Our server Kayla was darling and had wonderful customer service. She knew the menu and had great recommendations. This restaurant is a jewel. I will be back and I am looking forward to bringing my extended family to share in this hometown delight.

This place is a perfect go to brunch place. Location is spot on -close to the river walk. Beautiful decor and sweet staff. Mimosas are good. Their fruit waffle was crispy and the cream on it was amazing . Their biscuit and gravy is delicious. Their lite breakfast had crispy bacon and nicely done hash brown.
