I’m quite fond of BBQ so I was excited to try Smitty’s. There is something on their menu for most people. Our table ordered sliced lean brisket, smoked turkey, and smoked sausage as meats. Our sides were green beans (best I’ve ever had), potato salad, dirty rice, and roasted potatoes. The green beans and roasted potatoes were great. The other sides were good. We ate inside at 6:00 pm. I’m not sure if it was the time or not, but the brisket was very dry. The flavor was okay, but it was just too dry.

Got the 3 meat combo plate with chicken, turkey and brisket. The turkey and brisket eere really good and moist, chicken was good but just a little dry. It is a good place for bbq.

Met some family here for BBQ, service was prompt and friendly. Lean brisket had an amazing flavor and was very tender. I thought their potato salad was spot on what flavor I was wanting it to be. Mac and cheese was phenomenal. Highly recommend as BBQ. The only thing I didn’t care for was the country music, but that’s just music preference, everything else was awesome!

First time trying this place, drove out to Jasper to meet family for dinner. Food is absolutely delicious, everything tasted so good! I got the two-meat combo plate which comes with two sides. I got the sliced beef and ribs and they were very smokey and so so good. I tried the Mac n cheese, which was very tasty, and the coleslaw which was very sugary and not sour like some other coleslaw at BBQ places. I also tried their peach cobbler which I’ve heard a lot about, and that really tied the whole meal together. They also have a nice selection of cold bottled soda that you don’t see at many other places.

To each their own, but I personally give this place a five star. It looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but once you set foot inside the atmosphere, the genuine smiles on everyone’s faces and the amazing food make you feel at home. Definitely worth it!

I ordered 2 baked potatoes. 1 loaded and to many green onions,no bacon bits,sour cream and cheese was in plate.2nd baked potato was butter only and none was on it. For $11.58 was A waste of money. Never had this to happen

Fantastic! Recommend Cowboy Pie, ewwee this is better than we’ll it’s great. Yum yum. The meat is tender, the bbq sauce is sweet but it works great. Pinto or baked beans your choice. Sour cream and green onions, you can choose white onions and jalapeños. Very good.

Very disappointed. My husband and I ordered two chopped brisket sandwiches and dirty rice which both tasted like they were out of a box. Barely any brisket flavor and overpowered by nasty BBQ sauce. The Mac n cheese, potatoes and corn were good. We also ordered blackberry cobbler and peach cobbler. They also tasted like they were frozen from a store and just thawed out… barely any flavor and not even sweet. $50 not well spent.
