Smoke offers a delicious menu which is surprising better than delicious! The brewery was also full of surprise taste, all great! Fur babies of all sizes welcome!

Hands down best smoked brisket chili I’ve ever had. Drove from Marshall to Black Mountain the second day just to have it again. Wings were also bomb. Owner is super personable and friendly.

Top notch BBQ!! Comfy atmosphere! Pit master is knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. Got some tasty brew from the attached brewery! If you’re traveling through Black Mnt be sure and stop by for a treat. Oh and don’t forget the smoked deviled eggs!!!

The smell as you approach Smoke is the perfect start to deliciousness. Highly recommend their take on poutine. The curly fries are a great balance of crispiness and softness and the mixture of flavors is fabulous!

Is this a joke with the reviews? The guy who took my order was mad at me for putting in a To-go order. It was wild!! He acted busy on then phone then had no one there when I showed up. The wings were not even seasoned with salt or pepper or anything? Just straight up smoke…which smelled great but it tasted horrible. The sauce was just sambal and a ton of salt and maybe something else to thin it out. Fries are straight up Arby’s curly fries from the grocery store. Brisket sandwich was $14 and smaller than my hand, literally. Also dry brisket and not worth it for the price with no side.

Outstanding smoked BBQ menu connected to an incredibly good brewery in downtown Black Mountain. We visited several times over our vacation and brought the girls to lunch on a Friday. Its a really neat venue with plenty of outdoor seating that is covered. The Poutine was worth every penny!

Terrific food. We had the smoked olive appetizer, shrimp po-boy, brisket panini, and smoked portobello mushroom panini. Perfectly prepared and great beer from the Black Mountain Brewing Company!

Maybe I caught them on a bad day. Idk. But I have to say that the pulled pork was the worst sandwich I’ve ever eaten, period. Meat was dry and bread was slightly burned, also very weird toppings. I am very frugal, but was still only to eat half of a twelve dollar sandwich, my dog slightly enjoyed the rest. Very disappointed!

I’ve gotten the smoked brisket sandwich and the poutine (smoked pork, cheese whiz, onions, and peppers). I’ve also gotten their pilsner in a 22oz mug for 6 bucks. It’s a good deal on food and beer.

For $15 a sandwich, you’d expect the brisket to melt in your mouth, not be borderline inedible, and you’d expect a side or some tiny semblance of one. A little cole slaw or a pickle would be better than nothing. I can barely rip off a piece of this rubbery meat, much less enjoy it as a sandwich. I wasn’t able to eat half of the meat on my sandwich because it was either too fatty or too rubbery to chew. The smoked deviled eggs were good but overall the meal was seriously overpriced and overcooked. I’m sorry to say we won’t be back.
