Great little BBQ joint! Awesome seating area with fire pits, good tables, shade and more! A few yard games out for the family to play while eating. Very handicap friendly and has accessable restroom!

Nice outdoor covered patio space, ordered pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw and calico beans. Honestly the beans were the highlight; smoky and flavorful, perfectly tender. Pulled pork was piled high on pub bun; it was tasty but could have used some sauce. Coleslaw is good, lightly dressed with lots of celery seed and makes a good complement to the sandwich.

Wonderful owners, great food, lots of smoky goodness! They have revamped the area and it looks amazing! Adding more food trucks to their arena is a brilliant idea! In warm weather they have live music. In cold weather they have fire pits. Year round good eats and fun! Great little gem in downtown The Dalles. They actively participate in first Friday events and other community events. Don’t miss this place!

First I had an excellent quick meal on my way from Vancouver to Spokane. They already had my seal of approval even before they went way above and beyond the norm to let me know that I’d left my card behind (tsk). Really appreciated you looking out for me. And the pork sandwich was delish!

So glad we stopped here. Food was great. I had the cowboy salad, he had the 2 meat platter. I was pleasantly surprised that it was nice and smokey without being overly salted. Also, nice to sit by the fire on a chilly night.

It was pretty good with friendly service. There are many types of BBQ and it is hard to make something everyone will love. A little bland IMO but worth going back to try again.

Looked and smelled delightful (and plentiful), but just fell flat. The mac and cheese was heavy and kind of cold like it had been made the day before and quickly microwaved. The pulled pork had good texture but was missing richness/salt/seasoning/smoke/meatiness. The ribs were hot and very juicy. I didn’t really like the applesauce on them, but that’s not their fault.

I have been to all 50 states and have had BBQ in most of them so I can be hard to please. I enjoyed their chicken most, and I usually don’t enjoy pulled pork but theirs was unique flavor (almost an Asian/Hawaiian style) and I liked it. Tri-tip too dry for me and had to have sauce for favor. I usually like spicy bbq sauces….didn’t not love this one. Enjoyed sweet sauce better. Corn salad, potato salad, beans, all on the good side of okay. No mac to try for this visit. Drinks not cold. Will go back again being local.
