Between the exorbitant prices and tasteless food, I would not recommend coming here. The Asian coleslaw had no flavor to it, nor did the seared salmon salad. The only thing that was reasonably okay to eat were the brussel sprouts…

I really really dig the options here. There’s some interesting food combinations that I want to come back for; the salmon salad was a great introduction. I definitely dig unique food places and this is one.

Great beer and atmosphere. Lots of outdoor seating with fire pits. The sweet potato fries were excellent probably the best I have had. Buffalo cauliflower also good and spicy. Definitely will return after Covid19 next time we are in the area.

The food is officially bad, especially for the price. It used to be good but now they have too much business and sacrifice quality over quantity. Last night I got a spicy chicken sandwich, which was displayed on the menu much better than in person. The patty was a compressed frozen chicken patty, the quality of which is served at school lunches. For $15, I’m assuming there’s a crazy mark up for them given the cost of chicken patties.

AMAZING! I cannot say enough great things about Hops Kitchen. I had Hops Kitchen cater an event in September of 2021 and again in March 2022. We reached out to them in March because we were so pleased with their service in September. It was honestly pretty last minute and they were able to accommodate us so kindly and easily. The food is stellar too… THEY ARE WONDERFUL! Highly recommend.

Hops Kitchen currently has 4 locations: Pro Re Nata Brewery in Crozet, Basic City Brewery in Waynesboro, Skipping Rock Beer Co. in Staunton, and Blue Toad Cider House in Waynesboro. This review is for the Crozet location at Pro Re Nata. I had the Western burger with house-made chips while my husband enjoyed a BYO burger with cheddar, caramelized onions, and bacon. We both enjoyed our burgers, but my chips were too salty and my husband’s fries were over seasoned as well. This is odd coming from someone who is heavy-handed with salt while cooking. While the burgers were good, $13 is pricey for a burger and chips. The staff was friendly and didn’t hesitate to share their recommendations.

Hops Kitchen has a variety of flavors that will keep drawing you back for more. There is something for everyone and no matter what you order it will be made to perfection. One of my biggest complaints with other food establishments is consistency and Hops Kitchen has never failed and has always delivered fresh, quality dishes that the taste alone takes you on a blissful ride. The customer service and passion they put in to every dish shine through. Hops Kitchen has been one of the best food establishments I have visited. Always worth the drive for the great eats, and excellent customer service that the team provides.

The food is generally good. Interesting options. The staff could be more friendly, but I chalk that up to where they are working. PRN has subpar beer and the guy that runs the place is more worried about drinking beer at the end of the bar and listening to music than customer service.
