This brisket is legit and reasonable.I enjoyed baked beans and fried okra with my brisket and a roll. I also added some smoked sausage to push the meal over the top. I was stuffed and will definately be back. The staff there is great As well. If this review was helpful please like.

Ordered the 3 meat combo plate which included pulled pork, ribs, and beef with baked beans, potato salad, and cornbread. The food was delicious . Customer service is lacking and I say this because when you have people waiting to place an order and you are working on a previous order a simple I’ll be with in just a moment makes a longer than expected wait not so bad. Train your people common courtesy, please and thank you! Just so happens, I know the manager from years ago…so Derrick (sp.?)if you are reading this review. Awesome food; just have those guys work on providing better customer service experience.

just a really sad panda
My Dad and I LOVE this place. Catered it for my birthday back in February and had a large order. Everything was amazing. The smoked pulled chicken/beef/pork, cornbread, rolls, sides, everything. I cannot stand reheated meat for some reason. It always tastes foul and rubbery. But when having leftovers from Smokey’s it was as good as the day I got it, so you know it’s good. 10/10. Thank you for making my birthday and the 3 following days amazing!

I went to Smokey’s during lunch today, and ordered a large rib plate; unfortunately when I got home…the ribs I thought I was going to sink my teeth in were shredded pork instead. I wasn’t able to return to return to Smokey’s until I got off work, and to my surprise…they were closed as I tried to tugged on the door. I then drove around to the drive-thru window because I saw an employee car till parked out back; again to my surprise no one was at the window. I decided this time to drive up to the drive-thru sign where you place your order, and hopefully someone inside will notice a car outside. Luckily, this time the owner and his son were literally walking out of the building and I began to explain what had happened with my order. The owner listen intensively, and apologized for the mishap with my order, then went back inside and accommodated me with more than I had expected (a full slab of rib), for my troubles. I had expressed to him and his son that “you don’t receive that type of customer service anymore”!!! A lot of place you go to will express how sorry they are…but going that extra mile to make what was wrong right just doesn’t happen anymore.

The best part of the meal was the cornbread! Seriously the best cornbread I’ve ever had in my entire life. They give you a big slice of it too. It’s sliced like a piece of pie is and tastes buttery and rich. They also have honey butter you can put on top but I didn’t think it needed anything. Everything else was just OK in my opinion. My daughter had the grilled cheese and it was a little charred. Definitely “well done.” Her meal was only $3.79. The amount of food for the price was great. We had a bunch of leftovers. I had the shredded chicken and it was dry, even with the sauce. I did enjoy the barbecue beans. I felt the potato salad was a little heavy on the mayo. Overall, I think we would return but there are definitely better barbecue places out there.

The woman at the drive through was friendly. I was turned off by the huge price discrepancy from their website. I decided to try the shredded chicken dinner but it was a bit flat in flavor and a bit dry. The roll was the highlight of the plate. The other sides were okay, but I’m not impressed enough to go back to try the pork plate.

Good tender BBQ. Not bad for Alabama. The hot BBQ sauce is great. The meats though tender need more smoke flavor and seasoning the sauce does help though. The sides are good the cornbread isn’t too sweat and the okra was crispy. I also had the Brunswick stew which was good but like everything else is needs more flavor. Overall I would recommend this place.

I ordered the half chicken plate, baked beans and potato salad was great. Corn bread is heavenly. Chicken is blah, doesn’t taste smoked at all. It taste more like baked chicken. Love the sides though.

One my favorite BBQ restaurant it’s not perfect but the food is great. I usually don’t like going to BBQ restaurants because the prices are too high for something I can do myself. Smokey’s delivers great quality food for a reasonable price.
