Heard there were new owners, so I thought we would try it out. I’m glad we did! I was craving Beef Ribs, and the last place I went to in Anthony only serves them on the weekends. Luckily Smokey’s has them all the time and they are big and delicious (see picture). My wife ordered the loaded fries and man those were ridiculously good (also see picture). To top it off, all that food at around $22! What a deal. Go get the beef ribs, you won’t be disappointed!

It’s really a “stop”, grab a bite then go.

Again this place is a gold mine been coming here for the past ten years I’m 30 years old now. Great food and environment. Worst experience however with the worker Lulu who stoled money from me by not giving me any change and following me to shirtys bar next door 1 hour late accusing me of not paying my tab. Still came back for my change because she said she would have it , nonetheless she stoked that money too. And laughed in my face. I love Smokey’s . She is not however a positive additions to the team she is sloppy unethical and unprofessional and a thief. Thread lightly with her.

The BBQ is good, put the portions are small for the price.

This place is amazing. The atmosphere is good ol country smoked BBQ on one side, and a nice hometown feeling bar on the other side. The smell of smoked meat fills the entire place! Their sides are limited but taste amazing. The pricing is pretty good, and the portions are definitely worth it.

Smokey’s is still the same Smokey’s, minus quite a few missing regulars that used to frequent the bar area. No music unless you play the juke box. Not sure if the bar still plays complimentary coins for anyone to go up and play a couple songs. Nobody was playing pool. (Not sure if there was a pool table come to think of it). Bartender was nice enough to offer the specials of the late afternoon. We had a shot special called a “Green Tea”. Although it hardly resembled green anything ,(it was more like a peach color), it was surprisingly delicious. The bbq sandwiches were on special.. mmm still holding their own. I like 1/2&1/2 with plenty pickles, onions and lots of reg recipe bbq sauce. I didn’t like the vendors walking in and even though you don’t make eye contact purposely, they still interrupt the melodious hum of something or other. Not quite sure what the humming was. Oh! Chile con queso was delicious, just to spicy for me.. a high high medium.

This restaurant is located right next to their bar, the entrance is thru the same door, just take a right. We ordered the beef ribs and the brisket sandwich plate, and they both were SO INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS. The coleslaw is homemade and made with fresh ingredients (including pineapple) and the chili beans had a great flavor. The brisket sandwich had a lot of brisket with onions, pickles, and I added pickled jalapeños to it. The bun was very fresh and soft, too. The BBQ sauce they provide at their tables is very delicious, too. The employees were friendly and helpful. They definitely have some of the best beef ribs in El Paso.

Mom went to pick up burritos for dinner (Smokey’s used to have delicious burritos) this brisket was cold and dry…little to no mustard…asked for bbq sauce…the tortillas where cold…definitely not worth the $8.50 for each burrito. We’ll be finding a new bbq place.

The beef ribs were good albeit fatty and greasy. If you can be more selective with your meat cuts I would easily hand 5th star.

I went to Smokey’s this morning to get the nachos with a brisket and it was done in a very sloppy way when I brought it to the attention I don’t know if it was a manager or what he was so rude to me and told me it is what it is and hang up the phone on me.. I told him that he just lost a customer and he just hung up the phone on me.. that’s very sad I will show you what I got this morning..
