You are in for a treat in the north Georgia area if you enjoy good, hickory smoked BBQ meats. It is worth the five minutes to get off GA 400 and head down Price Rd. GA 136 to the Hall / Dawson County line and stop at Smokin’ Mike’s Meats.

Mike’s BBQ and sides is some of the best kn the north side of Georgia. This is not a sit down restaurant but do yourself a favor and stop by and order some BBQ (ribs, chicken, brisket, etc etc) along with some amazing sides (potato casserole, beans, collards greens, etc) and have you a full delicious meal. Mike’s specials are always awesome (steaks, burgers, Beef stroganoff, etc) so be sure to check his FACEBOOK for his weekly specials. Mike and staff and very friendly and will always make sure you get plenty of food for your $. Make sure you order EXTRA twice baked potatoe casserole… just trust me

This is hands down the BEST bbq we’ve ever had here in Georgia!! This place is a new discovery for us and we’re very happy we did! 10/10 would recommend going to pick food up or catering your event. Best $35 we’ve spent on bbq. Unfortunately there’s no place to sit and eat so it’s pick up and go. We’ll definitely become regulars here!

Hands down the BEST BBQ place I’ve run across since Archibald’s in Tuscaloosa way back in 1993! We got 10 plates of pork, brisket or ribs for a great price and will have leftovers for days. Mike & his 2 helpers dished it all out while he was running in & out smoking the night’s specials! We figured anyone with Collards, spicy cabbage & Brunswick Stew on the menu was worth a look. Mike’s crushed it!!!

The meat is well cooked here. This is the best Barbeque in the area. I know because I’ve been to all of them in my hunt for good bbq. Not only that, it’s the best priced in the area as well, and the portion sizes are big.

Best BBQ that my wife and I have had in a long time. Owner is very friendly, gave us free sample of the smoked ham he just cooked and man was it delicious. Very generous portions as well. We had the pork, brisket and bought some of that smoked ham, it all was delicious and all the sides were good too. This was the first time that we were there and we will definitely be going back.

I pass this place almost everyday and have been wanting to try. My husband and I got the chance to try it tonight for dinner and it was so delicious! Some of the most delicious ribs ever and their coleslaw is so good and refreshing. The chicken is also really juicy and seasoned really well!! We tried a kielbasa and it was delicious. I don’t know who Mike is but I’m glad he was born so he could open this joint and make ribs that will blow your socks off your feet!

I have been here twice and I will be going back!! The food is fresh, delicious and homemade . I’ve tried several sides and 2 of their smoked meats. Pulled pork was tender and melted in my mouth. Smoked kielbasa was plump, juicy and incredible snap to the casing. Servings are generous with plenty of options to choose from. Probably the cleanest BBQ place I have ever walked into! Friendly customer service. The only problem I have is deciding what I want…and that’s a good problem to have!!!

Blown away by quantity of meat with dinner and sandwich–my chicken was enough for 3 meals. Excellent flavor. However sides did not impress as much. The cole slaw was coated with plain mayo, no seasoning that would have been an improvement. The cornbread ($2 extra) was dreadful–very hard and inedible. Love my cornbread so this was a big letdown. We will return but primarily for the barbq.
