Appearances can be deceiving. You might think this place is on fire. When open there is a small smokey fire burning out front of the business to send a signal to passing customers. I suggest you stop. Great things of the culinary kind can be found.

Smoking on the Boulevard has now CLOSED / OUT OF BUSINESS FOR NOW due to Highway 72 Road expansion buying out their location. Their equipment has been removed and as of now I don’t know of a future location. I hope that they relocate and reopen at some other location but as for now they are closed and it’s a great loss for barbeque lovers.

I’ve eaten here 4 or 5 times. They have consistently great food. The ribs are the best, bologna is fantastic, and chicken can’t be beat. My in laws live in the area and I always ask for them to pick some up before my family gets to the house.

Incredibly delicious! I live 2 hours away and whenever I visit Florence I make it a point to try to visit Smokin’ on the Boulevard – it’s so good I have even been known to plan my whole trip around being sure I am in town on the days they are open. The smoked chicken is amazing and the dry rub ribs are absolutely perfect. The whole butt is enough to feed a family. And be sure to try the smoked cabbage! It is without a doubt my favorite BBQ joint!

Still in search of an outstanding place to eat Bar-B-Q I went over to Smokin on the Boulevard to give them a try. After conversation with the owner he informed me if his ribs werent the best around he would give me my money back. I ordered a full rack of ribs, a whole chicken and a head of cabbage. I drove home to Muscle Shoals and had to watch where I put my hands. EVERYTHING was still very hot. Plenty of meat on the ribs, that were moist and seasoned just right. The chicken was moist and tasty. I like my white sauce more watery not like pudding but I make my own so thats not an issue. The cabbage was seasoned very well too. I highly recommend Smokin on the Boulevard. You cant go wrong. Went back today to try the Brisket. It was juicy and seasoned just right. We have found our Bar B Q spot.

Just bought a whole smoked chicken, smoked bologna and a pork tenderloin, the smoked chicken is by far the best that I have ever ate, I haven’t tried the bologna and the pork tenderloin yet but I’m sure it will be just as delicious as the chicken also the prices are decent.

If you are into smoked bologna then this place will fulfill that need. Smoked cabbage? They have that as well. Brisket, Boston Butts. Ribs…..covered. You need to get there early because they sell out they sell out. It is a 30 mile drive for me but worth it when I get a hance
