Tri-Cities folks. I’m a big bbq fanatic. Get over to Sulphur Springs and give David and crew at Swifty Pig a try. Probably the best brisket I’ve ever had. The mac cheese is to die for. Everything homemade. Awesome desserts, fresh pork rinds and toasted beer bread. They are only open Saturday and Sunday 11am-7pm. Support local. Not a complicated menu. Best lemonade ever. Peanut butter pie AMAZING.

If want BarBQue to take home and pair with your own green vegetables, this would be a place. The absence of any sides on the menu that are white, brown or yellow is the big problem. A lot of people eating BarBQue these days are on a Keto diet. Some low carb options for sides would make this more appealing to me.

My most FAVORITE place to eat on a Friday, or Saturday! I normally get the pork sandwich, beans & slaw. A drink is included for $8. The sandwich is a good size, however the sides are very small. They are priced @1 each & easy to add on if more are wanted. The meat is good by itself, but better with the sweet BBQ sauce. The bownies are pretty good too. I highly recommend this place!

This is one of my favorite BBQ places to stop at. It’s a food trailer located on Hwy 321 between Johnson City and Jonesborough. They have excellent pulled pork. Their brisket is pulled instead of sliced, but that doesn’t change the excellent taste and smoke that they put into all of their meats.

Tried it Fri Dec 6th, 2019. Bought 1/2 lb of pulled pork, 1/2 lb of brisket, and an individual side of beans. The pulled pork would have been great, but it was wet, presumably from being kept warm in a crock pot or steam table container. It would have been awesome right from the smoker. Pulled pork is best moisturized by fat and not overcooking it, not water or steam. The brisket was terrible. Stringy and gray with little flavor, again wet. Both meats were wet on the outside and dry on the inside. The sauces (sweet, and spicy) were excellent. The beans were interesting, as they contained a few different kinds of beans instead of just pinto or navy beans. Unfortunately the seasoning was too much. I love garlic, but these were way too strong even for me. Wondering how they keep the ribs warm? Would like to try them but I’m reluctant to spend $22 on a rack if they’re going to be water wet on the outside and dry inside like the rest. I recommend they serve the meat right from the smoker, or figure out a way to keep it warm without excess condensation or water.

Girlfriend and I ate here a couple days ago and it was very good. The meat was tasty and very tender. We both got the platter and there was an abundance of meat, but the side helpings were a little small, but overall, we had plenty to eat. Both the slaw and beans were good.

You’ll really like the food. Some if the best BBQ I’ve had yet. The portions are a little on the small side, but don’t let that deter you from eating there. Its great food at reasonable prices. Enjoy some freshly made BBQ from them today.

The owner was very nice. Told him we had heard about it but, we had never been there to try it. He threw in some extras to try. A piece of chicken and a piece of the ribs. All the meats were good. The sides were all good as well. I normally don’t eat Mac and cheese but any of you Mac and cheese lovers must give it a try! We will return.

Great bbq!!! We frequently grab a family pack of pork. Their coleslaw and potato salad is awesome! The lady who works there is friendly and gets your stuff to you quickly. Oh and their sauces are sooo good. The only thing is I wish they had is a brick and mortar restaurant so you could eat in. Can’t go wrong with Smokin Pig!
