A local told us about this place and we were so happy to find it on a cold rainy day. Huge portions and everything tasted delicious. We had fun sitting up on the stage. Checking out all the details from old chandeliers to an array of fun furniture. There is even a cute room with a fireplace on the side For 21 and older.

This is a wonderful cafe and bakery if you want healthy vegan/vegetarian/gluten free soups and salads but also baked goods literally as big as your face. There is indoor and outdoor seating, both of which are charming and eclectic. You order at the counter and food gets taken to you.

Wonderful cafe. The sandwiches were very good. The cakes & especially the HUGE Cinnamon Buns are worth the trip across. Recommended

A historic tradition, rustic inspired food and a home like setting keeps hungry diners coming through the doors. Add the fresh baked pastries and loaves of bread and renew your gym membership to handle it all…or just eat 1/3 of your serving and take the rest home for later meals. The tofu scramble and egg dishes were delicious.

Pastries are yum! Must try the strawberry and rhubarb, chocolate, strawberry jam-coconut flake ones.

I was really disappointed with my most recent couple visits. The baked goods were so bland, as if the dough had been speed proofed so no flavor was developed. I got a savory danish and the filings they described weren’t present through most of the danish, so it was just dry, bland bread. The brunch I got was also completely wrong. They advertised it as a tofu scramble, but it was large cubes of marinated tofu that just tasted like straight soy sauce and vinegar.

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon, and it was very busy. The service was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. The portion sizes are large, so do not worry about leaving hungry. After the meal we had no room for baked goods, so I guess we will have to go back!

I’ve loved going here for a long time. And this is my husband’s most anticipated stops when we go out to Vashon. I’m not vegetarian or vegan but their dishes appeal to all eaters are absolutely delicious and filling. The quality ingredients and local sorcing is worth the price for such good food.
