I’ve been here a few times with my wife. They have a weird mix of dishes – Cajun food, for the most part, but some Asian dishes along with. We very much enjoy the Asian Shrimp Wraps appetizer – they sound odd, but the flavors meld really well. I also appreciate their various fried seafood items – I usually get the stuffed crabs or fried shrimp and have never been disappointed. We recently tried the shrimp and crawfish fondue appetizer and enjoyed it immensely – Texas Toast dipping sticks rounded it out nicely. Prices are pretty reasonable given the menu, the servers seem like real people and haven’t assumed that fake customer-service exterior you see so often in waitstaff. They offer regular coupons in the community paper, so if you’re in the market for a seafood meal at a good price, this is a good pick.

Had a great time and the food was amazing. Richard was our waiter and he was great we gave him cash and credit tip. My wife got crawfish etouffee which comes with crawfish tails and I got the make your own combo with shrimp and crab cakes. My wife and I share our dinner and we were both in heaven. Would definitely recommend everyone to go eat there everything is fresh no frozen heated food. Got tea to drink and they make that too it was just as amazing as the food. This was our first time here and we will be going back. Also the price was fantastic for seafood compared to other seafood restaurants. Thanks goes out to Richard and the rest of the staff.

My wife, father-in-law, grandma and myself have been here several times over the last few months and every time we go we try something different. So far the food and service have been top notch every time. The coconut shrimp are some of the best I have ever had. We will definitely keep dining here.

This place is awesome. Every dish we’ve had here was delicious, served hot, and a great value. I enjoy other seafood places in the Houston area, but this one tops them. Not as formal as the other guys, but definitely the best family-friendly seafood place around. I encourage anyone to try it!

The service was terrible on my first visit, but it was on a friday during Lent so I would like to give them another try. However, being completely ignore, even after attempts to get attention, for over 15 minutes is hard to recover from.

I went to eat there for the first time last week. As a seafood lover let me just say OMG!! The food was fried just right and most important it was fresh. Even my son who is a chef said it was the best we have found so far in Houston. Highly recommend especially if you are lookin for a good value for fresh food.

Pros: It was clean. The service was prompt and very good and for that I would give it 3.5 stars. Don’t know if that was because there were very few people there. Food was lack-luster. The gumbo rou was nothing to write home about and the gumbo itself was mostly tasteless shrimp and lots of ocra. The blackened redfish was just that … fish with little flavor. I am giving it a 3 star because for the price there are a lot better cajun /seafood restaurants in town.

My fiancé and I wanted to try a new restaurant the night before mothers day 2014. We love seafood, so snapperjacks was new to us, and that is where we went! When we pulled up, the parking lot was pretty empty for a night before mothers day and the weekend, but we told ourselves not to judge a book by its cover. When we went in it was a very “country” type vibe which isn’t a problem, but you noticed immediately that most of the diners were regulars. Our waitress, which I did not get her name, older woman (maybe 50s), blonde hair, made it a point to let us know we weren’t regulars. She came to the table, did not tell us her name, asked our order – I ordered friend shrimp, my fiancé ordered fried shrimp and fish. She delivered our salads, and not even 5 minutes into the salad, our meals were placed on the table. When we got to our meals, the seafood was very bland, not seasoned well, and rubbery (over cooked), also luke warm. We decided to make the most of our night and not say anything. Again, though, not even 5 minutes into our main course, the check was brought to the table. Well, if I wanted dessert, I guess I wasn’t getting it! We put our card on the check, and watched the waitress pass our table up in an almost empty restaurant 3/4 times until I decided to give another waiter our tab. Noticing a Hispanic man and his four children in a booth behind us giving his order, speaking PERFECTLY GOOD ENGLISH, the waiter he has (younger guy – maybe just graduated high school or still in high school) acted like he didn’t understand a word he was saying when it was clear as day. I began to wonder if these people didn’t like colored folks, and I myself, am white (fiancé – black). The waitress came back to the table roughly chunking the tab back on the table and looks at me and says “You are new here aren’t you?” I answered stating we were, why? and she said “Oh just wondered…. I could tell.” And walks away…Needless to say, I am not ashamed to say she got a $0 tip! Why would you purposely make it known that we aren’t regulars and treat us in a way to make us NOT want to come back?
