I’ve lived here for too long not to have been here before. I love ice cream and was craving a summer cone. I usually go to my local health food store and grab a Straus pint, but I didn’t want to brave the traffic on that side of Soquel and was passing by Sno White drive-in and decided to pull in. I didn’t know what to expect- if this would be shoddy quality or gross like the downtown fosters freeze. The line went very fast and up at the window I whispered my question to the cashier…. “I’m sorry to ask this, but is your ice cream real? Or is it like the fake boardwalk ice cream made from whey?” (In case you didn’t know- boardwalk ice cream is made from a tub of powder.) The cashier didn’t laugh nor did he act insulted, he was so kind and explained everything that’s in their ice cream- and it’s real! I ordered a small mixed cone and it’s honestly the best soft serve cone I’ve ever had! And I’m an ice cream expert! I was so impressed with the service, the quickness of ordering and receiving my order, and how busy it was. I will next try out something to eat as all the food coming out looked good too! Thank you Sno White for being a local staple that deserves to be one! And for being there on a sunny day with great employees and yummy ice cream!

Recently my son and i stopped in for an after school treat. We ordered onion rings, a Jr Burger, and a small cone. There were literally 2 whole onion rings and a few little broken pieces, so I smiled and approached the young guys up front…maybe it was a mistake? I innocently asked about the menu sizes which listed “small” and “large” Onion Rings. So which did I get? Neither.

I’ve tried their coffee, which was ok but cold at noon when I went there, understandable but I was a bit bummed. At least it wasn’t burnt tasting. I have eaten their fries too. They tasted like they’d been frozen but they were hot and pretty good anyway… But they were like $4.50 or something, small coffee was $1.55. Their shakes look good so I’ll definitely try one of those. Bf said they had a really good chilli dog ($13). Overpriced for the quality by far, but it’s quite nice to have a neighborhood joint a short walk from my bf’s house. ♀️ I’ll be back.

Soft Serve is very good but please don’t let your cashier touch the bathroom key stick and then touch the cone that is being served without food gloves or using the hand sanitizer you have right by the pick up window. It’s really best to teach them how to wrap the napkin so they never touch the cone. Cashiers have to be really careful about cross contamination.
