The food was fresh and very tasty, and they let you sample the dressings and ingredients before adding them to your salad. I had the Fruit, nut and cheese salad and it was delicious! One of the best salads I’ve ever had!

I really like this establishment. It brings something fresh and new to the Downtown Pensacola area. It’s pretty small. So, I recommend sitting outside if you can. It gets cramped inside with customers waiting to order and customers sitting down eating. The chairs have a few stains in the cushions. So, that may be another reason to sit in the chairs outside. Also, the hours are abbreviated. I’d like to see this establishment extend their hours. Overall, I would recommend giving them a try.

Today, 9.10.2020, my daughter ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken, no croutons to go. The person making her salad said they didn’t have romaine. My daughter said the spring mix would be fine. When she arrived home, she had no chicken and croutons. She called and they said they’d have a manager call back. We waited an hour, no one called so we called back. We began to tell our story about no grilled chicken and they hung up on us. I would truly like a phone call or a response to this review. I know the Studer family would be disappointed in the customer service we received at their restaurant.

I work at a busy local law firm downtown Pensacola and ordered a salad via phone. I heard they had good salads and this was my first experience with Sochopped. When I got tot the restaurant, I had no idea how to get my carryout order. I walked over to where there was a “pickup” sign, but got no assistance. I got in a very long line and waited with everyone else ordering, only to be told I could have went straight to the register. Clear pickup or carryout instructions could have saved me 15 minutes of wait. No one addressed me (standing there obviously lost) while I stood at the “pickup” sign for 5 minutes. The customer service was lackluster if not non-existent. I could have used a sign that said “carryout pickup here”. The salad, however, was decent but I ended up picking out lots of wilted pieces that didn’t appear to be fresh. I don’t know that I’ll go back. I can get a good salad at a number of places with better customer service.

The food at So Chopped is insanely good. I had the Fruit, Nut & Cheese salad. Ingredients are so fresh- you can taste the micro greens & superb olive oil in the dressing. The pimento grilled cheese is also a must. The staff was above and beyond friendly, helpful and hardworking. When they weren’t tending to us, they were cleaning. Love this place!

I’ve been coming here for years now, and I hate to complain because 95% of the time the salad I build comes out perfect. But the new staff is lazy compared to the original crew of badasses. My dressing is never flavorful or well shaken up. I get nothing but the top oil and it is starting to really make me upset. I specify every time to make sure the dressing is extra shaken so I get the flavor but it dowsnt always happen. It makes me sad and also a little angry because these salads are quite expensive.

After finally getting through to the restuarant, I greeted with, “Hello. What do you want?” Confused as to thinking this was a restuarant or a buddy that owes me money. After getting my order in over him yelling at people in the background and hardly listening, he tells me 10 minutes. Cool, I’m on the way now. After picking up the salads and returning home, me and my pregnant wife find out that her order is completely wrong. Pregnant women cant have certain things like soft cheese. I asked for no gorgonzola and to sub it with cheddar. The only cheese on the salad is gorgonzola. None of the add ins were there, nothing. Not a place I would go to again if I want two salads for $30

I love the salad from sochopped (the bodacious olive) but to have one register open downtown when you are in a busy work area is nuts. I tried to be the kind person and not make a fuss when the 3 blondes jumped me in line but then they took their sweet time each of the 3 paying for themselves and the cashier was flirting with them… prolonging this process. Open another register. That is all!
