Regular pub and sandwich restaurant in the front, but the 20 person Speakeasy through the cold freezer is exceptional with live music and total hipster vibe – special custom cocktail menu with about 20 options (see menu pictures) and a $10 cover is added to your bill. It’s totally worth it, underground, and apparently very difficult to get into. Filled with beautiful people, art, and a visually captivating light up bar. The staff and bar tenders were very friendly and loved their jobs. 11/10 just exceptional and a unique experience in the heart of South Lake Tahoe that’s totally off the map, unassuming, and hidden. Just loved this!!! Thank you sweethearts

We went to the speakeasy in the back. Cool vibe, intimate space, great bartenders that clearly enjoyed the mixology. We had tried a couple different options. The space only fits 20 people and service and experience are very important to this place so our entrance was spaced out giving the bartenders time to help the previous group that entered.

Good quality, fresh breakfast and great atmosphere. Service was great at the same time. Spent $170 for party of 8 so pretty decent but some may find little expensive. Try their avocado toast, hot mama, hot chocolate and coffee. Overall , everything was great.

The bouncer was unprofessional. I would recommend he be educated in some type of customer service training. Somone had opened the door to the bar towards the end of the room and I walked in with my friends, assuming we could sit down. A brute of a person came over and told us to get out. I was surprised by his hostility and asked if there were rules of some sort that I had missed (based on his reaction)? He told us to go and pointed us towards the exit. I asked him again if he could clarify and all he did was say he would explain, and instead slammed the door closed on us when we walked out versus asking us to leave politely and explaining why. His cowardice was surprising. Having someone as classless as that person representing the bar is a poor business decision.

My friends and I were beyond excited to finally visit this much-hyped speakeasy with great reviews, but our experience quickly turned sour, leaving a bitter taste in our mouths. What should have been a fun and enjoyable evening was instead marred by racism and blatant discrimination.

This place has a great espresso martini. Ace hooked it up and absolutely killed it. Top 10 espresso martini of all time. Honestly if I ever got married I would fly Ace out to make us espresso martinis at my wedding. We are getting married in November in Pyongyang, North Korea and I already out in a request to get him a visa. It’s not much but it’s honest work. Even if I have to invite Kim Jong Un to the North Korean nuclear factory for my wedding in order for Ace to come I would. The honest hard work and hustle pays off at this place and the service is top notch. I would absolutely come back to this place.

I found a marketing brochure today at Cali burger for the speakeasy. It had no times or any other identifying information, just a password. I came back with my husband- we are on our honeymoon and were turned away because they were closing, at capacity or both- honestly it was super unclear although the woman in front of us got in no problem. Had we known the capacity number or closing time we would have chosen to stay on the Nevada side and gambled, but we made the decision to try this out. What a waste. What a bummer on our honeymoon. Don’t recommend because who knows if you’ll even get in. Please update your marketing materials to let patrons know of correct information such as closing and capacity, so no one feels the way we did on our honeymoon.

My experience here was probably the most blatant display of racism that I’ve ever experienced trying to go anywhere. When we arrived, the greeter at the speakeasy was dismissive of our party, and made us feel like we were bothering him rather than making us feel welcome. In addition, patrons at the bar were joking with the bartenders saying “this is a speakeasy not an amusement park” to which staff laughed at our mostly Asian American party. When others in our group posted reviews, whoever it was that commented blatantly lied about their interaction, saying they remember servings drinks to us when they did not even let us sit down and have the opportunity to order. Frankly disgusting behavior from the staff, would not consider this a safe space for anyone of color at all.

Cool speakeasy chill ambience Alex and Alex made amazing cocktails. Warm and spice Italian Manhattan and sweet Monkey Business tasted like banana foster.
