Wonderful local spot for both food and decor that speaks to your soul. We’ve never eaten anywhere with seating as comfortable. That alone requires a five star rating. But the food is simply perfect as well. We tried the burgers, po-boys, sauteed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes, rice and gravy, the mac (macaroni and cheese), and the lemon pound cake. We didn’t leave a crumb behind. We only had two gripes and neither were enough to lower the rating. Their drink selection was minimal with no refills and their fries were over salted. That’s it. I could not recommend an eating establish more. Please go check it out and go back often!

I went there as I did not realize Club Mex closed down. Ambiance was so-so, the food was good. The guy on his cell phone from the moment we walked in until we walked out, while serving us, and taking our order. Not cool. Because of that very reason I won’t come back. That was VERY rude. Good luck making it if you have to stay on the phone with what sounded like your side chick.

My family & I went there to try it out since they were at Taste of Omaha. The food was very good. I had the fried catfish platter with yams & sqash, my son had the fried chicken with rice and gravy and sqash, and my spouse had the fried shrimp basket with spinach and Cajun fries. We ate every bit, and it was delicious! Service was a bit spotty – everyone was very friendly, but I ended up going to the counter to get most of our drinks. The day we were there, they were out of hamburgers and some other items on the menu and they didn’t have any ice for the drinks. Most drinks were served in full cans from the refrigerator, so all drinks but water were cold. The place was austere – nothing on the walls but a couple of TV’s. They had a few tables with cloth tablecloths. We were the only ones there, except one person waiting for take out. They didn’t have the AC on the day we went, but they had the doors open. It was a bit stuffy, but okay for me because I’m usually freezing in restaurants that crank down the AC. This seems like more of a take out place rather than eat in, which is probably what we’ll do next time. Food was great!
