I tried to stop by two days in a row during business hours… No signs of life. Drove up from Custer (where we are staying) and this was the best place close that seemed to have actually BBQ (maybe the only one) sign says that they are smoking for tomorrow, but obviously that’s not happening.

The outdoor seating is located in a beautiful, serene atmosphere. The location is easily accessible. But you better get there early, otherwise they may be sold out of the delicious meats and killer sides they make fresh daily. From brisket and ribs, to pulled pork and jalapeno links you just really can’t go wrong. They also make a couple of phenomenal sandwiches. This local bbq joint is a must have when cruising by to your next Black Hills destination. Beautiful area, delicious smoked meats!!!! Oh yeah, and the coleslaw is perfect, not all mayonnaisey 🙂

My wife and I live in the neighborhood and enjoy smoking so it was a natural to give this new smoke shack a try. We opted for trying small bites of all that was available. Brisket, Ribs, Pulled Pork, BBQ Beans and the Potatoes. Oh my gosh….It was ALL SO DELICIOUS!!

They are doing it right. Definitely can tell they care about each item on the menu and not cutting corners. The freshest pork and coleslaw I’ve had in a long time! Glad to have them in the hills.

Staff was friendly and respectful. Pulled pork had great flavor but a bit dry. Brisket was top notch. The BBQ and mustard it’s served with is delicious as well.

I ordered brisket and ribs with 2 sides (spicy Mac and beans). All of it was delicious and the mustard that comes on the side is fantastic. I look forward to ordering from here again.
